In Rogue, there was a Nort master sniper called Morgan, or Morgin, or something like that.  He was the guy with the black domer chem-helmet.

I'm too lazy to look through a large pile of tatty back-prgs, so can someone confirm the spelling of his name, please?

Ta.

longmanshort

Actually, you're wrong. His name was officially Major Snooty Snooty Bum Clouds IV and he had a pet starfish called Spikey Mikey.

It's true, don't listen to the rest of them, if they say anything different to me then they're lying, I have proof!

I agree with LMS.

I'm also a little perturbed that Gordon's mentioning Rogue again.

Trout - he's writing the computer game story.
Better set your phaser to stun.

'Marauders', Progs 282 to 289, The Best of 2000AD 55, if that helps anyone find it...

"Morgen."

That's the bloke!  Much obliged.

paulvonscott

Yeah, Morgen

Bgamna:  Wha...?  But Helm detected no-one within sniping range!

Traitor:  Ordinary snipers, that is.

"One of the deadliest of the nort snipers!"

"He wears the black dome of a thousand sealburst marksman"

Any other questions, happy to help as I have the story here.  Titan book 4.

Cheers

Paul

p.s. notice the line about helm detecting things normally you wankers!

paulvonscott

Also, there are hints that Helm affected the mind of a soldier wearing him.

GordonR

Erm....I think we'll be leaving the biochips' possible paranormal powers out of the game.

Maybe an idea for the sequel, though...

Lobo Baggins

Morgen the Merciless Marauder Marksman, to give him his full name.

Helm ends up with Player the Peerless Pilot.

Clearly, GFD was experimenting with alliteration that day...

paulvonscott

As you wish!

Actually I wondered if this meant another series rather than the game, but as the game it is, fair enough.

I could tell you what happens to Morgen...

SPOILERS

He gets dropped out of a chopper into a puddle and we presume he's dead.

Glop!

Lobo Baggins

Helm actually used his scanners all the time while Dave Gibbons was drawing him.

Still think that Rogue should have swapped him round with Gunner after he got his telekinetic powers.  Then, not only would he have a talking hat, he'd have a flying talking hat! That would be cool.
