The Boys (Dredd Ripoff)

I've been loving The Boys on Amazon but has anyone else noticed Homelanders shoulder pads? Surely they have drawn their inspiration from Dredd's shoulder pads. It's not even subtle, they are just smaller. Apart from that they are a total copy.

I think Dredd needs to pay a visit to the law breaker who designed Homelanders look.

It's adapted from the Garth Ennis comic, where he has only one, far more Dreddlike, eagle on his right shoulder. He's even got a gold chain. It's definitely inspired by Dredd, given that Ennis used to write Dredd.  Two of the Boys in the comic are even 2000ad fans.

Eagles aside, Homelander's design is not surprisingly closer to Moore & Totleben's Olympian era Miracleman.
