Quote from: sheridan on 24 May, 2023, 12:36:05 PMI've read various bits of Bacchus (stories used to pop up in various anthologies in the nineties) and got the first few months of the regular series that came out.  I'm going to withold asking why the praise is quite so high until after the MCBC episode alluded to!

(p.s. I did like Bacchus, I just don't think I'd rate it above From Hell).

Really enjoyed listening to the John Wagner one.  I'd forgotten how scary his voice is - if Dredd was Scottish, he'd sound like John Wagner.

I was lucky enough to be at the Enniskillen comic fest and got to speak to Paul Trimble, Keith Burns, Garth Ennis, John Wagner, Dan Cornwell and Gerry Finley-Day about the first of this year's Battle Action specials.

There are a few harsh clicks and pops in the audio from the convention floor due to poor microphone technique by me (sorry), but the guests answers are great stuff and well worth a listen.

If you enjoyed the chat about the grandad figure in HMS Nightshade being based on Mike Western himself then maybe check out these other paintings of pipe smoking grandad figures (that I'm lucky enough to own)

Just listened to the Sin City one - brilliant stuff as always.  As is so often the case when I listen to MCBC, I want to reread the comics under discussion immediately.  I'll forget about Frank Miller's not-cool years and get stuck in.

One tiny niggle - Luke doesn't have the Ozzie accent?  The guy may be from England, but he could do voiceovers for Jug McKenzie  ;)
