Have you got all the material for the first magazine yet? How goes the search? Also, on your original post on Millarworld you were suggesting you might team up writers with artists - is this something you still think you might do further down the line?

I'm still working on some scripts for CLiNT if you'd like to take a look, Elchivo?

There's definetly something in the style of your art. I think as you evolve as an artist we're going to see something really special.

Your 'cliche' cosmonaut and robot are definetly the best of the bunch. Maybe you could stand to improve your humans? The superhero is good but still doesn't look quite right. That said, your dwarf and elf are slightly better.

I do like the face pic of Dredd in your gallery.

Keep up the good work.

Nice art, Filip.

And CrazyFoxMachine, I really like your Cliche Parade. I was trying to think who's art yours reminded me of and then I hit on it. The style definetly reminds me of Frank Quitely's art on 'All Star Superman' and 'Batman and Robin'.

It's really good. I look forward to seeing more.

Okay. Thanks for the advice. I don't mind sharing the rights, but it'd be a pain to have an idea become completely unusable if it wasn't picked.

Hey Emperor, did you have any luck finding out about ownership?

To be honest, the uncertainty around this is the main reason I've been focussing on 'Space Oddities' submissions (not that I've found an artist yet).

Hmm. Here's an interesting question, if the idea wasn't bought by Millar then would the writer maintain full rights to the character? Although, not to the designs as done by the artist I would presume?

I really like your drawing, and the others are right, the inking is really good too.

This does look like a younger Dredd, but I don't really think that's a problem.

Do you have a link to any of your other art?

QuoteWho in their right mind would sell off their intellectual/artistic property for a one off payment ??

Since when are writers in their right minds?

I'm not sure that I'd be terribly upset with someone else owning my character, as long as I was paid well and had the opportunity to write more stories in the future.

As it happens, I think Millar is saying he'd buy the story which says nothing about who'd own the character.

Oh, and if there are any artists out there reading this, feel free to PM me too.

I've posted the first page of one of my scripts in the 'Writer/ Artist collaborations for CLiNT post here' thread on Millarworld where I go by my actual name - Paul Penna.

Okay. I'll try that.

So, Darren, you looking for any collaborators at the mo?

(hey, you live in Portsmouth. I studied a BA in Screenwriting nearby at Southampton Solent University).

Any suggestions on the best way to approach artists? You're both artists yourselves, I'm not sure that you'd want anyone who thinks they're a writer bombarding you with messages (unless you would, then I'd be happy to :P).

So, what kindof stuff has encouraged you to work with writers which you didn't know?

Holy...

That is some amazing art.

I wish I could draw... well... beyond stick figures (and I can't even do those particually well).

Hey, are any of the artists on here entering anything for CLiNT? I have scripts which I have written but no artist to work with yet.

I've posted on the Millarworld forum 'Writer/ Artist collaborations for CLiNT post here' thread but there aren't a lot of artists on there.

If anyone wants to take a look at my writing sample, I'm 'Paul Penna' on that forum.
