Anyone else not liking the sound of this? As much as I'm not a Microsoft hater, I don't fancy everything I do on my computer in their hands.

It's essentially an internet-based mainframe/thin client model.

In theory, the thought of going to a PC, logging-on and all your apps and data being there sounds great. But in practice, performance (probably) won't be up to par, so emphasis will shift back to desktop PCs which we'll have to buy all over again - along with a new Windows license.
