Help! / Sagepay payment error in online shop
17 July, 2014, 10:54:48 AM
I'm trying to buy the digital Meg in the 2000AD online store but have twice been halted by the following when Sagepay is processing my credit card:

"There has been an error processing your credit card
3D-Authentication failed. This vendor's rules require a successful 3D-Authentication.
Please try again and if problems persist, please try another payment method"

I've Googled this an the results are all useless and vague. How do I get my card "3D-Authenticated"? Has anyone else had to deal with this? Any suggestions?

I know there are probably financial reasons for not having a PayPal option on the 2000AD shop but godalmighty it would make purchases so much less frustrating and smooth. Just sayin'

Such a great post title by Tiplodocus needs to be resurrected. It perfectly sums up my feelings after a recent re-read of Atlantis from Case Files 10. Not only is the art by Brendan McCarthy as brilliantly refreshing as I originally remember it but the story is black comedy gold from John Wagner at his most brutal.

The script has some great one-liners but the tragic ending involving
the drowning of innocent six-year old Leslie the mutie
really threw me. Reading this ending now as a dad packed a powerful punch this time round. Have to say, Wagner's writing is like a good wine; it gets better and better with age and is, um, hard to get out of white carpets.

General / 2000AD: Audio Interviews
02 April, 2014, 03:35:01 PM
Maybe a list like this has been compiled already (I couldn't find it if so) but it would be great to get a definitive list of 2000 AD audio interviews together. The ECBT2000AD interviews are a fantastic resource that I can't get enough of - my favourites are the Legend of Ron Smith interviews.

But I'm sure there are many more out there that I haven't heard yet. I'd particularly love to hear interviews with veterans like John Wagner, Alan Grant, Cam Kennedy, Carlos Ezquerra.

Please set me straight on all the interviews I've missed or mis-attributed.

During Flint's recent interview with Pat Mills on ECBT2000AD they brought up the subject of artist's basing Sláine on themselves. Out of interest I put this together. What do you think? Any other characters that are based on their artist?

General / Reader's Kid's Art
08 February, 2013, 02:31:24 PM
Since Tharg doesn't seem much interested in printing reader's art these days (either that or none of you are sending in pictures such as "Judge Ukko", "Rogue Quinch" or "Nemestein" anymore) I thought I'd share this drawing my 4 year old son did during the week. I'm a very proud daddy.

Welcome to the board / Hello
21 January, 2013, 05:48:11 PM
Hi All,

Like a number of recent first time posters I'm a long-time reader/ more recent forum lurker. My history with the prog dates back to the last century when I bought it every week from 328 to 922 before life got in the way and I took a sabbatical.

I got back into it this time last year and have thoroughly enjoying getting up to speed again. Back in the olden days I was a huge fan of Glenn Fabry's Slaine, Cam Kennedy's Rogue Trooper and just about anything by Mike McMahon and Ian Gibson. This time round I'm very impressed by Absalom, Brass Sun and the new Dredd film.

Also subtly introducing my son to Dredd as an antidote to Spidey and Iron Man.
