Great choices Mabs

Thanks Graham.

I didn't include 'Ordinary' as it's still on going. Suffice to say it'll probably feature highly on next years list!

Apologies, just realised that the second series of Brass Sun will most probably end next week before the new year, so with that in mind my favourite Non-Dredd series would have to be...

1. Brass Sun - The Diamond Age by Ian Edginton & INJ Culbard

Sorry David and Inaki!

Edit: triple post! Funt! Don't kill me Recrewt!

The rest are playing it safe Mabs, hanging on for Prog 2014 before making any decisions they may regret later.

I normally use the year end progs as more of a start of the new year myself

Thank you Graham!  :)

Yep, Red Seas was definitely one of my faves. I too wish we could read the rest of the story after the first trade, but sadly we may never see it. Only other option is the floppy, albeit in quite a few episodes. But I don't care, I want to read it anyhow!

@ Ancient Otter - oops, I forgot about prog 2014! To be honest though, I could probably add it to the listing on my blog if I do find something I like  *cough* Absalom *cough*!

But thanks for opening this thread mate, hope to see some more input from fellow boarders in the next few weeks.

Batman's Superior Cousin

Now that I've read Prog 2014, here's my take of both the Prog & the Meg for this year:

The Ten-Seconders: Godsend & How Harris' Got His Xmas Pint
Damnation Station: Series Two
Judge Dredd: New Tricks
Insurrection III

Both Absalom & Aquilla are both shaping up nicely, & have now piqued my interest!!!

Both Strontium Dog & Ordinary are both strolling along!!!

I'm actually doing a 2013 Dredd re-read over the festive period (enforced holidays from work, get in) so I won't comment on these (yet).

However for non Dredds, number one thrill has to be Sinister Dexter, really took me by surprise this one. The chapter where Finny saves his case worker from Frontal and his goons was just exceptional. Special mentions for Savage, Aquila, Brass Sun and Defoe which seems to round out quite a natural top 5.

And to clarify I'm including prog 2013 up to prog 1861. The end of year progs really feel like the start of the year for me. Would like to see a bit more structure to this thread tbh, good effort on Mabs on highlighting a few potential 'awards'. Reading your choices has really made me want to re-read a few of the strips in full.
