Some potential considerations that don't turn up in the first list there. Each of these has at least two parts, with some being more extensive.

- The Amazing Maze Dumoir
- Bob Byrne's Twisted Tales
- Danzig's Inferno
- Doctor Dibworthy
- Droid Life
- Encounter [progs 54-57; text stories with single splash]
- The Great Detective Caper
- Infinity Inc.
- Mean Arena [as opposed to The Mean Arena: they're separate strips]
- Psi-Testers
- Supercover Saga [progs 19-43; text story of cover splash]
- Tharg's Alien Invasions
- Venus Bluegenes
- Work Experience

1). Strontium Dog

Huey2 just to be clear I assigned your vote for Strontium Dog against the Johnny Alpha stream
When I die, I want to die like my grandfather who died peacefully in his sleep. Not screaming like all the passengers in his car.

Old age is the Lord's way of telling us to step aside for something new. Death's in case we didn't take the hint.

Thanks for this, I did not know that there is a difference between Mean Arena and The Mean Arena. I am now educated

Don't investigate too much, neither is particularly great.

Like Angel, I did not even remember reading this. Normally this implies that the story is not worthwhile to go back too.

That was difficult and (as ever) my answers might be different on another day. I've qualified some of the placements, just because it made me feel better.

01   Nemesis the Warlock
02   The Ballad of Halo Jones
03   Zenith
04   Slaine: up to and including The Horned God
05   The A.B.C. Warriors: up to and including Khronicles of Khaos
06   Kingdom
07   Nikolai Dante
08   The Fall of Deadworld
09   D.R. & Quinch
10   Strontium Dog [Alpha]: Death's Head to Rage
11   Firekind
12   Button Man
13   Scarlet Traces
14   Leviathan
15   Ro-Busters: Death On The Orient Express & The Terra-Meks
16   Indigo Prime: Winwood And Cord - Killing Time
17   Devlin Waugh: Chasing Herod / Reign of Frogs / Sirius Rising
18   Survival Geeks
19   Chopper: Song of the Surfer
20   Fiends of the Eastern Front

See, this would have been relatively easy if it was a top thirty:

21   Caballistics Inc.
22   Rogue Trooper [Rogue]: pre-Horst & Cinnabar
23   Shakara
24   Bad Company [first series only]
25   Ace Trucking Co. [up to and including Too Many Bams]
26   Meltdown Man
27   The VCs [original series]
28   Return To Armageddon
29   Brass Sun
30   Banzai Battalion

You have Rogue Trooper twice so I have allocated it as follows:

4 = Rogue Trooper as Rogue Trooper (Rogue)
19 = Rogue Trooper as Rogue Trooper (Friday)

I also allocated Strontium Dog against Strontium Dog (Alpha)

It's probably fairly safe to assume people mean the Johnny Alpha one when they say "Strontium Dog". In fact, the mostly Feral-starring sequence was actually Strontium Dogs, plural.

(Except for the story Dead Man's Hand in the 1993 Yearbook, which was super-titled as Strontium Dog but actually a Feral tale.)

I can remember something of the same line I just do not have the physical copies anymore. I just split the two so that it makes it easier to identify. I do not think that many will vote anyway for the Feral (Strontium Dogs) series.

I like your confidence in Full Tilt Boogie. I must say that so far I can say that I am enjoying it but I will want to see how a third and even fourth series turns out.

A couple of clarification questions.

When you say Strontium Dog (Feral), do you really mean Strontium Dogs? And, as I recall, it featured other Strontium Dogs as well as Feral, as the lead in particular episodes.

What is the Starlord strip you are referring to? If it is what I think it is, only one episode every appeared.

BTW I consider Downlode Tales to be Sinister Dexter - it's just a different label that was put on it when the boys temporarily split up, to give the impression it was permanent.

BPP

1st: Strontium Dog (alpha)
2nd: nemesis the warlock
3rd: Dante
4th: ABC Warriors
5th: shakara
6th: Slaine

9th: Bad Company
10th: cradlegrave
11th: robo-hunter (sam, yup)
12th: Brink
13th: lobster Random
14th: low life
15th: rogue trooper (rogue)
16th: The VCs

On your first question around Strontium Dog (Feral) you are correct it is Strontium Dogs (with an s at the end).

The Starlord strip was published in one of the xmas specials prog 2061

Yes if you feel Downlode Tales is part of Sinister Dexter rather vote for Sinister Dexter
