Loving Dante. In my head, I can see the final panel of the last ever Dante story being
a mirror of the last scene from the Conan movies. Tsar Nicolai, old and grey, brooding alone on the throne. All he wanted was Jena and freedom, but all he gets is the throne he despises.
But, that's just me. I've loved following Dante's adventures and can't wait for more. The whole thing has a marvelous ancient/modern and literary feel to it. Fantastic!
Dredd's
loss of control upset me for a moment, too, but I'm hoping this is going to lead to something. Something a little more substantial than even tighter tight boots. Dredd's been on the streets forever and he's had, what, about 52 hours sleep in the past decade? All that constant peril and exertion is bound to take its toll, both physically and mentally. Even judges are bound to snap occasionally. And Dredd is only a cloned human being, after all, a damned tough one, but human nevertheless. This may just be another stepping-stone towards taking Dredd off the streets and kicking him upstairs. If the loss of control was just written in because it "sounded cool," then I'm going to be bloody annoyed.
The thing with the bugs:
Bugs eat everything, combine to recreate what they've eaten, eat bigger and bigger things until there's only two of them left crawling over the planet like frogs on a football?
See? I don't think I understood it, either.
SINDEX: Now that I come to write about it, I can't remember what happened.
Cliff Robinson: Yaaay!
Cliff Robinson's last panel: Oh dear.
