opening e-editions of comics

I got a new android tablet and download copies of 2000ad and the Meg, but the files won't open.I tried a comic viewer app but when i use it to find the documents it cant see them. Anyone know whats going on? The tablet is a amus transformer

Some tablets won't open certain documents (txt, mobi, cbr) without some sort of flash card inserted, though I couldn't tell you why this is.
I open the cbr/cbz doc on my pc as if it were a zipped file (for PDFs I use PDF-Xchange) and extract the pages (as image files) into a folder I then bung on the tablet and read through an image viewer - easier to zoom, flip and rotate pages that way, making the reading experience less hassle.  Saves having to manage plugins or additional software, too.
