Putting aisde the incorrect use of fhe term Autistic I always get a laugh out of this myself. Particularly when men try to illustrate the "evils" of feminism.

I have a new project lined up for 2015, and the client doesn't even seem to be that insane.  This suggests that the survival of my nascent business for almost an entire year was not the total fluke it was starting to look like. 

And I just got a surprise day's fill-in work for tomorrow at tasty weekend rates which should permit me to petition Santa for some more of the plastic chip-ridden shite the kids seem to want with a clear conscience. 

And my rather decent solicitor rang me with a plan so allegedly cunning that he didn't want to discuss it over the phone, which is a distinct step up from his 'I'm afraid there's absolutely nothing we can do,  just bend over and try not to let it get to you' of previous conversations. 

And I'm drinking a hot whiskey (with an emphasis on the last two syllables) while waiting for the wife and kids to arrive with fish and chips.

Yes, I think I will endorse this brief moment of peace and optimism with the term 'drokking fantastic', if only by contrast.

Four months ago my older brother found a lump on one of his testicles.  His doctor told him it was nothing to worry about but my brother insisted on a second opinion.  The specialist booked him in for an immediate biopsy and it was discovered it was cancer.  Follow up tests showed it had spread to his lymphoma system and he would require intensive chemo therapy over the following months involving weeks at a time in hospital combined with almost total isolation at home.  His hair would also fall out.

This afternoon he's been told he is totally in the clear and even his hair will grow back.  As you can imaging I'm feeling rather elated and a bit teary eyed at the moment.
