I was never a huge fan of the man until I heard his 2004 album Has Been, which in my opinion is one of the best albums of the past decade.

Strangely, I'd agree with you on this!
It's a great album- dripping with irony on one hand, but there are also a couple of genuinely moving tracks on there where he talks about his estranged daughter.

I thought the Shat doing Rocketman was great.  I'd pay to see that - and not just because it was The Shat.

It was a great adaptation of the Tom Sawyer and Huck Finn books that Canadian series, better than any of the films I've seen (one of which has Huck join the circus for no good reason). I was please to see a while back it's just made it onto DVD.

On a different note, this is absolutely the most excruciating (non-physically) painful thing I've ever seen: You have to feel sorry for the presenter here, it's rarely you see someone's entire career come to an end in the space of a few seconds...

garageman - great find!  I liked it so much I tracked it down (link to the mix file below).  I snipped out that bit as a separate mp3 for convenience as well, so if anyone wants a copy, just mail me.

Sorry Ade, it's a fake, performed by Dutch comedians. I knew a guy who actually talked like that, only even higher, after he had cancer of the throat and people did laugh in front of him, for real.
