Shoot. Z
Can I request that this be merged with the "Things that went over your head..." thread?
...as I have no clue wtf you're on about.
Me neither, unfortunately - but it's nice to be appreciated!
:o
Really? Is this wise?
While I had to read it twice and still didn't understand, the title of the thread lured me right in.
ahem...

I've read all that. I've looked at the Prog Review thread in question... and slipped quickly away without getting involved but for the life of me I still don't know what the heck that title is meant to actually mean.
Which when you think of some of the poorly communicated tosh I pass as comment on this place is quite something!

Ditto.
Sauchie and Jimbo are both masters of inserting the apposite panel/page to draw a parallel, extract a detail or illustrate a point. The thread refers to Sauchie's recently-controversial habit of 'close reading' of Dredd in particular, and makes a joking comparison with the similarly insightful Jimbo, in an attempt to divert discussion of detailed criticism (in the broad sense) of the strip both here and in other media/forums away from the Prog thread, which can annoy some.
And there we have it. Z

Oh Dark Jimbo you're just the best. Z
Oh really this is all so... something. I'm off to a nice simple thread like the 'Comic is dead good thread' were I can simply bang on like.
"I like this comics cos the pictures was good and it had cool fighting and stuff in it"
and leave you lot to ya high filuting nonsense... as long as you all play nice. I gets sad when mum and dad is arguing all the time...
I is sad...
Been waiting a while to find an excuse for using that one!
And again, where is the like button???
That is exactly why a thread was created. Simply after 1942, I elected to dump all of the Ill feeling which stemmed from it into a bin. It was set up to lance a horrible boil, nothing else. Z
Lance Boyle? wasn't he in Harlem's Heroes?
Oh for F**k's sake. Z
No, Lance Boyle was that biking guy with the drugs....
I don't know what is happening
Smoke being blown up an arse...that's what's happening.
Cheers. Nuff said

Cardiac Massage has been proven much more effective.

Oh jez this gets worse and worse. So like as well as having to unpick oblique and unwieldly thread titles, we're also having to relate that to some historical event. I meant a lot was going in in 1942, busy year.
I'm going back to the "I like comics whats got pulled down zips showing breasties" thread.
You'll be wanting the '90s. Where every female judge was ghost-drawn by Andrew Currie.
(Note: think Currie is ace).
The forum has become self-aware. Someone start a thread about an argument in this thread and we'll be pulled into a meta vortex.
BY ATTEMPTING TO BOIL LANCE YOU HAVE DOOMED US ALL, SIR.
 Z

It certainly was - the most important even of which was that my dad was born in that year :-)
I think I have some cream for that...
