I'm definitely planning on tracking down the Blueberry books next year - it's bugged me for years that I've never read those.

Colin did a Blueberry sketch for me years ago, and it's lovely...

I had a chat to the bloke at Cinebooks at Leeds and he was saying that they are working on getting the rights to Blueberry. He didn't say too much more, but it would be so exciting to see a new series of these coming out and were better than Cinebooks.

Bloody love that sketch the ease with which in a few (I won't say simple) lines he evokes a western background is just stunning

It's a joke. I was joking.

Yep, I've always wanted to buy the Colin Wilson 'Blueberry' books.

The 'Into The Shadow of The Sun' books are cool too. I've got one in english, one in french, still need to pick up the other one. They'd be cool all translated in a compilation.

Yeah, Into the Shadow of the Sun is definitely one that needs translating and reprinting... I've got vol.1 (Rael) and would love to read the rest of the story.  Colin mentioned a reprint / translation was something he was hoping to discuss with the original publishers, so I'll ask him if there's any news next time I'm in touch.

For anyone interested, Rael is easy to get via eBay...

With thanks to Dale for helping realise a lifetimes ambition ...

And to Mr Adlard for a nice touch of personalising ...

On the point of Mr Wilson.  Always loved Rael and been looking for the last two parts for years.  Would love to see them translated but would settle for the French and put aside any prejudices.  For my money some of his best work outside of his Rogue Trooper stuff (which for my money was always some of the best).

Spikes

A great page Tjm86, cant beat a bit o' Adlard.
Collecting original art is fantastic hobby, but its highly addictive though!

So pleased to see this sketch by Colin Wilson. He is one of my favourite artists. I remember doing an art project where I tried to copy a Rogue Trooper's story illustrated by this gifted art droid. I loved the dynamic nature of his inking which looked to me as if it were done quickly and skillfully with a brush.

If it's anywhere near as addictive as collecting comics then I will have to tread carefully!  Think I will have to settle for a few choice bits of tooth history.  Gutted that the recent Ezquerra cover on ebay (prof 250 I think) went as high as it did (£1200+ ) as would dearly love a piece of that Gentleman's work!

That was a lovely cover (featuring the East Meg Diktatorat) so not suprised it went for that amount. Certainly vintage 2000ad art doesnt come cheap.
So, expensive as well as addictive!

If your after an Ezquerra piece then you could message Rufus Dayglo via his Artdroids site.
He's often selling nice stuff.
