id have to go for dylan teague,one of the best artists of the last few years, and he is uasually inking others work.his one off rogue was the best of the current run.anyone else think this,or who else do you think is under used

just seen justice league yesterday,on tg4 and all irish channel and the voices were all changed to irish,very weird to hear green lantern and flash speaking in irish!

egmont own action, and apparently any other comic created by fleetway  after 1971,as far as i know...someone may correct me tho. before 1971 comic ie valiant lion etc (including the brilliant steel claw) is still owned by ipc which is in turn owned by iol warnersbros which in turn own dc comics and there was plans (last year anyway)to revamp the old stories as wildstorm comics!pew!

while looking for some stuff in my attic last night, i came across some oddball 2000ad merchandise, judge anderson socks, judge dredd wallpaper border, judge dredd pencil case set (unopened) judge dredd mirror,any else got any other strange stuff lying around,of info on any other stuff made

try the comics international site, and mail them, they used publish warrior and hhh,so they may have some lying round, they have back issues of warrior anyway

it lasted 15 issues, merged with eagle,and there were 5 specials.it was cancelled due to a strick at ipc, which when everyone went back to work the management closed scream as a "dont do that again or see what we can do"

i suggested this in a post a while ago,what id like th see iw a bolland collection of ALL his covers pin ups and related covers ie games worshop eagle comics and poster, this could be accompanied by artist and eds commentries, this could be applied to othe artists as well, id def buy them so long as i liked the artist

the scream specials ran from 85-89 the last one been scream spinechilllers,with no scream stories  and j watson art (which i dont like)it hasent held much attraction ie its crap!the best one is 85 with a few lovely dave gibbons strips, anyone any idea where these were originaly meant for? 88 also has a reprint of black beth, with some great art,i think it came from misty or tammy.the others are ok with a mix of reprints from scream and further afield and some new stuff.these are not worth the money they are commanding on e bay, see if u can pick em up cheap, for completist, only.
battle ran from
8 mar 75-23 jan 88 for 673 issues, no issue on 30th dec 78. charleys war began on 6 jan 79no200 and ran till 26 jan 85. on 2 feb s goodall takes over as writer an moves charley to ww2, this runs till 4 oct 86, reprints after that till the end.go figure the dates!
action specials ran from 76-80, i think and there pretty good, i think some stories are leftovers from action after it was cancelled. btw
has anyone made the connection between hellman and wagners walk, as far as i can see it a sequal

how abour a collection of bolland covers from dan dare thru dredd covers and pin ups and eagle covers to the most recent one IN B&W with eds notes and artists notes, now that would be a seller in the u.s. and and be a long stay in the comics shops,and why stop at bolland, theres gibbons oneill etc

there were 3 main invasions in mytological ireland,the fir bolg , the thuath dedannan and the milesians or the gaels,none of which claimed to be celtic,mills based the horned god on the thuath dedannans battles with the formorians from the book of invasions as well.the gaels are seen as real people and the thuath probably were the old celtic gods, which after christianity gradualy changed into the si ie beansi and lepreachan etc. for me the best slaine stories are when mills sticks closeset to the ledgends.hope this rambling have been some help.
ps good books to read on the subgect are jim fitzpatricks the silver arm and the book of conquestd,for starters and and lady gregorys cuchillain and of gods and fighting men.

steev, i was in ur old haunt, dublin over the weekend and in easons thay have done the exact same thing 2000ad and jd is now sitting with the film mags and comic tie ins, ps read the j ridgway comando as well, well worth the entry price

i remember years ago,seeing 541 going for silly money in fp in dublin, and i hadent got it in the newsagents, i picked it up afterwards, for a pound i think, is it rare or was it not distributed in ireland,its the one with the fists of stan lee cover
