Eternals. I properly enjoyed this film from start to finish. It looks great, the characters are compelling, and if the plot doesn't induce existential dread - or at the very least serve as a signpost along the way - then cover me with monkeys and release the peanuts. Y'know, I think I might be putting this one on the Special Shelf - the shelf where such as Logan live.

Keep the helmet on.

And stay out of Sarlacc pits.

Heh, if only you knew the job I've been doing today you'd understand how wise that advice actually is...

I'd be interested to hear about them.

Maybe in PM or email, though, so as not to trouble anyone.

Speaking of psychoactives, I've tried mushrooms three times.

First time, nada. I'd have got more of a kick out of a can of shandy.

Second time, mostly nada. The world, the guys I was with - nothing changed. But the Moon - the Moon changed. I've never seen it look so bright, like a blob of mercury under a white spotlight, and it looked like it had rings around it, around the equator, from pole to pole, and at angles all around. And it had the most beautiful sky blue aura around it. But everything else was normal.

Third time, I just spent four hours giggling - which was fun but really quite disappointing. I mean, how are you supposed to explore the secrets of the universe when you can't stop laughing?

I haven't bothered since.

Cool mouse dream, though!

I have never really been into music of any kind, but even I had a copy of Bat out of Hell. My old mate Bill used to blast it out of his narrowboat while chugging along the canal at 4mph.

To me it was always about the Mach scale, Mach 1 being "hyper"sonic - although technically hypersonic relates to speeds above Mach 5 (I didn't know this when I was 11 years old, though, but the idea kinda' stuck).

"Skeletons" imply wrongdoings, improprieties, illegalities - which in turn suggests that such malfeasances are being deliberately withheld from the electorate in order to make unsuitable persons appear fit for government in the first place.

Oops - now I get it. I suppose he was so out of it when he escaped that he forgot about that.
