A month or so ago I had a meetup with Steve S and Lauren just to have a bit of fun with the new Rogue Trooper helmet.
Ostensibly to flog the helmets, but since they sold out in 9 mins, the photos have been kicking around.
Anyway starting to work up a few.

Off Topic / The awfulness of youtube

Nothing groundbreaking but youtube seems about as toxic as lead in paint (well even more than it was before)
Recently uploaded/recommended (unless I log in) has Yaxley Lennon videos moaning about censorship - and no apparent way to block that channel or content.
Like having a TV that randomly tunes to the arsehole channel.
I could just about bear it in when it was some tedious prick banging on about Star Wars/Doctor Who/Star Trek/Whatever, but there is a limit.

Just saw a preview of this - loved it.
Had some real goosebump moments of flashback to watching L&H on TV as a kid - the leads are great, but also Shirley Henderson and Nina Arianda as their wives and Rufus Jones as Delfont.
I'm a bit of a sucker for biopics but this really hit a sweet spot for me, and made me want to see more of Rob 'em Good...

Not sure how many people use it, but Flickr have done a photobucket (kind of) and want people to upgrade to the Pro service or they will delete any photos above 1000

I've seen a few mentions on facebook of another Dredd 2012 fan short.
The people behind it have done some feature stuff, so it will be interesting to see how it turns out - they're filming some stuff tomorrow and some more in October.
Seems like it's an extension/reshoot of some mysterious short from a couple of years ago that had snippets appear on VFX reels - there's definitely a few of the same people involved.

Something I started a while ago, then abandoned, then came back to today.
I'd not seen many attempts at the retro helmet as a 3D model/real prop - so thought I'd have a go.
Was quite happy with the result - still needs a couple of tweaks to smooth out some kinks...
