Credit/debit cards are the work of Satan! Eschew them, my friends, eschew them with all your might!

Actually, it's probably best if don't eschew them altogether. They can be handy.

I swore I'd never get sucked in to one of these things, but here I am trying to build up enough resources and technology to build a Hephaestus Class Attack Platform and avoid getting crushed by more powerful players.

Anyone else addicted to this bloody thing?

~~jealous~~

I love Talbot - if I could draw like anyone, I'd choose to draw like him.

You're a cool guy, Peter Wolf, and no mistake.

Welcome, James.

That's a really cool Mighty One you have there, and no mistake.

Of course, what you really need is a wannabe writer to practice with...

Seriously, though, there are quite a few of us around these parts with aspirations towards Tharg's organ, the vast majority of whom are happy to help with criticism and advice. Lots of people on this board have helped me with my writing, for which I will be eternally grateful.

Also, on Wednesday nights over at www.paltalk.com we have a chatroom called "The Rowdy Yates Block Citizens' Yap Shop," in which we often get such luminaries as Colin MacNeil, PJ Holden and sometimes (when I can get the right photographs or other persuasive evidence) living legends such as John Wagner, Carlos Ezquerra and Pat Mills. The room is also frequented by small press superstars too numerous to mention - even the esteemed editors of FutureQuake Press drop in from time to time. It's a great room to get advice from both seasoned pros and newcomers, talk about creativity and form collaborations and friendships. Ultimately, though, it's just about the coolest place on the web for Twoothy fans to hang out and shoot the breeze about anything and everything. You are, of course, welcome to join in any Wednesday night, James - as is everyone reading this.

What do you think? Too much shameless pimpage, or about right?

Doubtless the unicorns represent his pre-election promises - beautiful, fantastic and eminently desirable, but ultimately mythical.

Some time ago, I got my first ever short story published after winning a top place at www.youwriteon.com in their first anthology, which you can see on Amazon here: http://tinyurl.com/2wgxosz

Last year, the book didn't sell enough to net me my £25 royalty cheque. This morning, I got my latest royalty statement:

Looks like it's gonna' take me a while to catch up to J.K. Rowling. :(

The best way to avoid the inconvenience of sorting through notes and coins at the checkout is to carry a gun.

..suddenly, eight months had passed.

I tried to remember all the things that had happened to me in the meantime, but all I could recall was something about an election and a vague smell of hot blancmange. The world, it seemed, had been getting on famously without Edwin Dweeble for long enough. It was time for me to make my mark on this benighted metropolis once more.

A plan began to congeal in my empty mind, but first I'd need a few supplies and an inflatable goose. In order to purchase the tranklements I was going to need, I paid a visit to...
