Books & Comics / D'israeli D'loveliness
25 October, 2007, 10:55:31 AM
Having caught the bug for Kingdom of the Wicked Original art at BICs, I was overjoyed today to receive a package of 2 more pages and a cover. Thought I'd post them here to show off the glorius colours and just to show off. :)

Other Reviews / Lurvely Big Badge!
19 July, 2007, 10:33:33 AM
I had the joy of an unexpected parcel arriving at my work today.

Greeted with a heartfelt "What the fuck is this?" I was pleasantly surprise to unwrap my Dredd helmet badge.

Glistening in the morning sun like a newborn angular lump of gold 'tis a rare thing of beauty.

Nice one, Wake. Another quality home run for Termight Replicas.

I eagerly await the enamel Strontium Dog badge you know you want to commission.

Help! / Dredd and Alpha image request.
04 July, 2007, 02:10:33 PM
You know the one. End of Judgement Day.

Sorry to bring it up as a post but I've searched in vain for this image, yet I'm sure it's been posted here quite recently?

Anyhows, talking to an old 2000ad fan in da pub last night, my mentioning of the Dredd/Alpha team-up brought forward an incredulous "Fuck off! Really?"
And said mate now wants proof.

Any help gratefully received as usual.

Help! / Strontium Dog image request
14 May, 2007, 12:26:44 PM
Looking for an image of the grinning aliens that i think have crossed Alpha's path in a couple of stories.

Bald, noseless, with huge mouths and a massive row of teeth that make them look like they are perminently grinning. Rings any bells?

For the life of me I can't remember the stories they have turned up in, but The Killing may be one.

Any help gratefully received.

Help! / Dredd world reference needed.
04 December, 2006, 10:49:41 AM
Save me scouring the web.

What does the present Grand Hall of Justice look like?

Is there a building design for The Academy of Law?

Which of the SJS uniform designs in The Day the Law Died is seen as definitive? - I can't think of many other stories where the SJS turn up but then I was absent from 2000ad for most of the 90's.

Any help graciously accepted.

31 March, 2006, 04:14:20 PM
A friend of mine is selling Books 1-4 of the Titan Zenith reprints.

Thought there might be someone on this board who remembered Zenith and wouldn't mind owning these books?

General / Question about credits on the DC/Rebellion GNs
11 February, 2005, 02:47:15 PM
Having purchased a number of the new DC/Rebellion reprint GNs - and mighty fine organs they are too - i have a small quiry which someone might be able to enlighten me on.

The covers list the contributors across the top, including my old Uni buddy Julian Gibson on SD, except Shimura; This only has Robbie Morrison, Frank Quitely then ET ALL. Why do they get top billing when two other artists have a higher page count in the GN?. It can't be original creator credits as the first Dante one heaps Morrison and Fraser in with everyone else.

Just a small niggle that caught my eye.

If the reason is obvious please start you're replies with 'Duh' and be patronising.

World of Warcraft trailer.

For fans of gaming and fans of fantasy and fans of just very high-quality computer art.

Lurvely.

With proper dwarves - not just small humans

Help! / In like Flint
04 June, 2004, 02:49:10 PM
A very hung-over Henry Flint gave me his email address at Bristol so I could contact him about purchasing some original art he didn't have at the con.

When he wrote it down he was very unsure if he'd got it right, he was very, very hung-over and it turns out he hadn't. Pants.

Does anyone have an email address for him? Please don't post it on the board, but if you have one could you email it to me? Or if ya don't want to give out private email addresses (and I don't stand in judgement of you if you don't) could anyone who is in contact with him tell him to use the email address on the business card I gave him 'cos I just can't get through.

Muchos thanks in advance.

General / Bristol Comic awards

Anyone got the full results and want to enlighten me, or point me in the direction of said enlightenment.

General / Bristol Charity art auction
14 May, 2004, 11:04:18 PM
Now that the unfinished pieces of art for the auction seem to have dwindled to a minimum, and the event is rapidly approaching can I ask how many non-comic pro boarders have pieces up for grabs?

I have a Harley Quinn - though the site only shows the B/W version rather than the completed colour art Ho hum - and, for my sins, an f**kin awful Mean Machine that I truly regret offering up.

My fellow work colleagues have also done their bit for charity and provided the Black Cat by Stephen Baskerville and Marv from Sin City by Bryn Williams.

So any others?

(This is a badly disguised attempt to discover if there's anyone else out there who will have the stress of crossing their fingers and hoping for at least one bid when their work comes up)

Help! / 2000ad circulation
10 May, 2004, 04:40:33 PM
Can anyone tell me the current circulation figures for 2000ad or point me in the right direction to find out.

Highest figures and lowest with dates over the last 25 years would be great too.

Much appreciation in advance.

Tulkas.
