Great stuff! Strange that this updated on a Sunday, tho I suppose is 1st July if that has any significance.

Allmost feels like a jumping off and cherry pick point right now.

Say it ain't so  My own double-dip risk is limited to ABC Warriors (oh and Dark Justice), as a returning Squaxx. I'll be in it for the long haul.

Was just enquiring about the next two Slaine books, the last of the b&w material.

Vol 2 is coming soon in issue 26, after Meltdown Man, and Vol 3 is issue 32.

My my reckoning, after that we can expect another Slaine book every six issues or so.

I may have finally broken them in this respect. Waiting to see what actually turns up next week, will post as I have more information...

Here's hoping for those that need them, but then this is a company that quite often makes promises and doesn't follow through, so I'd suggest taking that with a pinch of salt. (They do need to be careful with the 2000 AD collection though – it'd not going to go down well if people sub from issue 1 after the Dredd collection, only to be told a year down the line that issues are out of print.)

In that instance they just send the next books until they become available again don't they? Not the end of the world, although communicating reasons to subscribers tends not to happen.

Interesting question on the FB group as to whether currently out of stock books will ever be reprinted. A positive answer for anyone who fell off:

The issues that are now showing as out of stock, will be available we are still waiting for new stock as soon as we have stock it will be advertised.

Any chance Pirates of the Black Atlantic will be in the 2000AD collection?  Really, compared to some of the tripe that made it in, it's a crime it wasn't in, especially as a prequel to Block War and Apocalypse War.

Don't think this is likely unless there's an extension, as the third and final Dredd-themed volume will contain Dark Justice and Dreams/Fall of Deadworld.

I wonder if there would be any value in a Ron Smith spotlight collection, along the lines of Kenny Who & Return Of The King. Have all his other signature works already appeared?

Just a quick update since I finished the issue. The last three strips were pretty strong I thought. DaNi's art is lush, Tharg's face in the Terror Tale made me smile (and that strip overall worked well), and the final story with Anderson was a success on both art and story.

I welcome more work from these talented creators in the progs of the future!

As the newly-appointed chair of That Cover's fan club, I demand that you explain why the ridges on the right kneepad are horizontal and those on the left are vertical.  The sleepless nights must end sometime...

Happy to receive this year's Sci-Fi Special in the post yesterday! I went for the Hershey cover although I am unable to find a credit, either in the issue itself or online.

I'm about halfway through at this point, I enjoyed the Dredd tale, which with Babs Tarr's choice to follow the Stallone costume design certainly matched Beeby's attempt at ruffling Squaxx' feathers (as she admitted on the Thrillcast). I also noted a layout credit to J.Wyatt. Tarr worked from Cameron Stewart's layouts for Batgirl but I think Motor Crush is all her - perhaps this was to speed up production as much as anything.

Tyranny Rex looked good overall, reminding me of Rian Hughes' work from the 90s but the storytelling could have been better.

The Rogue story hit the spot, I enjoyed that one, and the Future Shock was good too, but Darkness Descends had probably my favourite artwork so far.

Ill update with the other strips when I'm done!
