Classifieds / Re: 2000AD and Megazine Collection for Sale
27 December, 2008, 10:34:25 PM
Hi kitty Cat

Just to say that I've looked and I've swapped all of the Volume 1-3 megazines for some base metals.

What I have left is:

2000AD progs 521-778
2000AD progs 1313-1433
Megs 220-253 (minus issues 225 and 226).

Really not after a fortune for them.

Sincere apologies for not sorting out those annuals, but I can actually get to some of them now, so should be able to make a fresh assault in the new year.

All the best and Merry Christmas.

This is a very busy time of year for me, and that's a very complicated poll.

Haggis is lovely stuff.  It's lightly spiced meat with oats that comes in a bag.  Sometimes the bag is a sheep's stomach, but usually it's in plastic wrapping (I wouldn;t reccomend eating either).  You boil it for preparation and serve it with turnips and mashed potoato traditionally or it's quite nice battered with chips!  It shouldn't be dry unless it's been overcooked.

"2) make sure Danny Cannon gets nowhere near any sequel."

You know, he was pretty young to be put in charge of that film which had more problems than guy who'd only made one film before.  Now, a mere 13 years later, he's a well respected director.

What I'm trying to say is, Judge Dredd (1995) wasn't his fault.  Let it go...

"What? So I can't swear, I can't be rude to people, and now I can't even take the piss of Nestel?"

All of those things are entirely up to you, Jim.  I was just making a general point to the board, it wasn't meant to be personal.  Apologies.

"He really, really needs professional help."

If people believe that then I hope they would behave appropriately.

I don't think anything will end up in the movie because fans want it, movies are just too big for that.  You just have to hope the people involved get it and have the ability to translate the strip to cinema.

I'd certainly like to see a good Judge Dredd film, but I'll take what I can get when it comes.

Film & TV / Re: The Thing - ITV1 16/12/08

The end of the Thing is meant to leave you guessing as to who may be the Thing.  this time round I had a feelign it was MacCready.  next time who knows?  The creature is already intelligent enough to build a short range flying craft from junk and convincingly impersonate a human.

I thought they'd made the flamethrowers themselves.  I could be wrong, better watch it again...

Welcome to the board / Re: Django Zoon: The Straightener

Well done Jobo, despite some initial reservations, you've won us over with your earthy charm.

I suggest you submit Django Zoon to http://www.abaddonbooks.com, which is owned by Rebellion, who print 2000AD.  It sounds like their sort of thing.

Not many people know that Matt uses an Esk-a-Sketch to compose all of his line art, adding in shading with a Magnadoodle and he does the backgrounds with his spirograph.  Apparently you whack it all through photoshop and that's what comes out.

Still, not bad.

An all-new Watchmen prequel?

There's something very wrong about all of this,
