Just a query about the threads in the General section that are stickyed (is that a word...? I'm guessing not)
They seem to be slightly random and some not touched since 2012.
Not bothered obviously but I have not much going on so thought I'd ask.

A comics laureate, Is this cool? Heard this news and interview with Dave Gibbons on Radio 5 Live.
Dredd of course gets a mention. All starts in Febuary apparently.

I do wish interviewers would listen to the answers of their questions.

General / Previous Art Competition Winners

Just starting this months entry, and wondered if anyone, i.e. CrazyFoxMachine [sorry buddy, like you're not busy enough] would be able to create a thread of all the previous winners. I for one would enjoy looking back, especially at work submitted before I joined the forum.
How long have the monthly comps ran out of interest?

Games / Drawsomething users and pictures.

Just wondering if any of you talented bunch waste your energy on Drawsomething app as I do.

Every now and again I'll produce a piccy I'm quite happy with. Dredd is even an option in the Sci Fi choice so this is always fun to draw. (however I do have to take into consideration how long my doodle is taking for the poor bugger on the receiving end)
Anyway I guess I'm touting for potential users to play, and intrigued to see some of your efforts.

I should probably upload at least one of mine.

Film Discussion / The language of Dredd

Hey guys,

Anyone know if the language of Mega-City 1 finds it's way into the script (I hear the script is out there, but I'll be hearing it for the 1st time when I see the film cos I don't wanna spoil the story) but a few Drokks & Gruds would be great.

As for the Images that are out there I'm kinda excited, when I 1st saw basic automobiles as catchwagons I was somewhat miffed, but reading the various comments on here about this being the origins of Dredd hopefully it'll work.
I just hope there's some sort of grand scale to the films interpretation of
Mega-City 1, even if the main story doesn't travel that far from one city block.

Going to be a long wait...

Just wanna say Hi, I grew up with 2000ad from the black&white days through to the computer coloured wonder of the modern time, (my last issue would've been some 10 years back mind)

Joined the forum to keep upto date on the new film (the old one almost made me cry..)

Looking forward to getting to know you lot!
