Small reminder that FutureShockd has reached its 50th entry (Prog 97) and there is the a bunch of stats and musings over on the summary 26-50 post http://wp.me/p1KBan-ab including one of the best bit of Belardinelli art thats never been reprinted.

More interviews in the pipeline too and the reviews are racing towards the arrival of Moore and Milligan in the next week or so.

Alan Grant... DARK DARK PLACES. Very good. Also quite tasteful in what it doesn't show at the end. Two 'old masters' on art duties too - what a visual treat. (kudos to EdlCz for colours too).

And tonight - sit down with all 10 parts of Number Cruncher and have a treat.

Seriously, there are forummers NOT buying this?

Announcements / Re: 3A Toys/Rebellion Press Release

*confused face*

Didn't this ship 30th August? The 3A mailshots have had it OFF the 'shipping soon' list since then and the criteria for being off the list is that it is shipped.

Am not complaining in any way but would rather be told when to actually expect the thing rather than to read 3 WEEKS AFTER ITS SHOWN AS SHIPPED that now it is shipping. Had hoped it would have been here this week.

So.. October arrival then?

Prog / Re: Prog 1752: Big in Japan

Seems to have hit FP a few days early meaning a double-prog week for me - and what a doozy it is. Loving everything in the Prog - totally unfair to highlight anything as its all great. Burns and Davis in the same prog is a real art treat and the other artists are top notch.

Really loving John Smith just doing his own thing in IP.. am always fine with his long build-up approaches and the art helps give it an amazing completeness and consistency of world view. Its lovely. With this script/art team it could go on for 20 weeks and I'd not be tired of it.

My bank balance might not like it but already I'd be up for buy ALL of these stories in trades. Thats a sign of a top-dollar Prog.

Best prog in about 2 years and there was nothing wrong with the previous 103 that includes.

Every art-droid is top dollar.

I'm going to delete a week of my blog so I can get all those hits again.

Many thanks to everyone who helped get this into the FP blog and all the other avenues. Hope you all continue to enjoy.

This man needs a series of Star Scans doing exactly this with classic covers. Brilliant.

A 2000AD one off with art by the likes of Hunt Emerson, Davy Francis and Cat would be fantastic.

I've also added an email widget if anyone is insane enough to want that.

Anyone who is familiar with wordpress can feel free to advise as I am a much more used to fusty academic journals that the nosebleed world of blogs and social media.

Big thanks to Emperor who has already provided excellent help and also Mr Arthur Wyatt (woot!) who appears to have reddit'd me (whatever that may be, I trust I wont be left blushing).

Will defo check this out in the future shark. Night with Mrs Kirbs tonight though :)
You need to take a long look at your priorities. Did your missus draw the Apocalypse War?

Heh. Remember when Smash Hits used to always ask 'Does your Mother play golf?' I think the Meg's interview section just found it's own version.

He draws a top-notch Dredd that chap. I take it we have lost him to the yanks? Doubt there isn't a reader who wouldn't want to see him back. Especially with that foxy dead-chick judge.

Thanks again all for your encouragement (and to Tharg's droids for not firing off a cease-and-desist notice).

Dr X - I don't think i've stuck on a subscribe option (at least not consciously) as I've managed to keep up a daily posting rate and reckoned people would get annoyed at daily reminders. If people would like it then there appears to be a subscription widget I can stick on.

You've all blown my daily visits record out of the water - quite scary to know the blog is being read by people who know far more about 2000AD than I instead of people searching for 'Elvis' and getting 'Elvis the Killer Car' instead of 'The King'.

You're both too kind, glad you like the look of it.

A small blog about one of the more neglected 2000AD institutions. Updated daily (or 7-times-a-week) 'ish.
