Being sort of new, I don't know any of these people who everyone always goes on about. I suspect that they may be artists and writers...

What I learned from Moniaive (via a minion, of course):

1) Swishy warrior women can talk the talk, but they can't walk the walk.
Bou was on HALF-PINTS all evening, until she stopped drinking entirely.
And she doesn't wear spike-heeled boots.

In short, like many women, she's a poof!

2) Grennie's reputation is exaggerated.
At one point during the weekend, he smiled.

3) Frank Quitely looks weirdly like all his characters. His jaw really is that shape!

4) Yes, Dobbyn and Wyatt are the same person. Note the surname use of the rarely-seen letter Y as a vowel. Suspicious.

5) Children should not read comics.
At first, I wanted to praise Alan and Sue Grant for luring in so many new victims for our addictive interest, but then I came down with a hideous lurgy.
For four f*cking days.

Clearly, the gathering of such disease-riddled vermin has allowed my envoy to return with germs.
From now on, all visitors to Trout Towers will be forced to shower outdoors, then wear a paper boiler suit which has been fully sterlised.


Anyway, many thanks to Sue and Alan Grant and all their busy friends for an excellent event.

Also, hearty congratulations to such boarders as Petemaskreplica, Tiplodicus, bizarre Bou, the always-splendid Logan, Noisybast and his frighteningly patient girlfiend Sharry.

I remember it well.  It was provoked by the sight of a small happy child with a balloon running full-tilt into the face of a closing door.
