General / Forthcoming Rebellion trades thread
02 December, 2004, 04:47:35 PM
Unless I'm losing it, I'm sure there was a list of forthcoming Rebellion Euro trades on this board (including Beck and Kawl, Leviathan, etc). Does anyone know where? I have the list of DC/Rebellion stuff already.

General / Judge Blunkett
02 September, 2004, 05:18:34 PM
One of my letters was published in Prog 1405, accompanied by a Judge Blunkett pic, credited to www.bloggerheads.com. Does anyone know where this image can be found (I did look around some of the site, but it's pretty big)?

General / 2000 AD subscriptions service
11 June, 2004, 06:47:08 PM
Some of you may remember a rather odd thread on here recently about the apparent poor service of the 2000 AD subs dept. Well, my latest experience with them was today. After midnight I sent over an email asking about the whereabouts of the latest issues of 2000 AD and the Megazine. I got a response before 9am, stating that my copies were probably lost in the post, and that replacements were being sent. That's speedy service indeed!

General / Matt Brooker article in MacUser magazine
28 April, 2004, 03:47:40 PM
Any fans of Matt Brooker should keep their eyes peeled for this fortnight's MacUser, because it has a five-page interview that I conducted with him, discussing his work and technique. The issue itself is pretty easy to spot, seeing as it has a huge Judge Dredd head on the cover. Subscribers already have their copies, and news-stand editions should be out by the end of the week.

Off Topic / Angel cancelled
17 February, 2004, 05:09:24 PM
As at least some of you may have heard, Angel's been cancelled by WB, although they were good enough to provide plenty of notice so the current (final) season can be wrapped up. What amazed me is that Whedon publicly stated that he never saw this coming.

Maybe myself and my other half are in the minority, but I thought the series jumped the shark in spectacular fashion in the second half of season 4: the premise was terrible, the acting appalling, and the final episode, dire. (Well, many of them were dire, but luckily, it only cost us six quid to hire the tapes from our local library.)

Apparently, Whedon's been tossed a bone in the shape of one-off specials, although there's no confirmation whether any will happen.

Prog / Valkyries
16 February, 2004, 07:46:59 PM
So, uh, when did 2000 AD get into league with Channel 5 and The Sun? Any possibility of 2000 AD appealing to kids just went right out the window. Panel 4 on p3 is just shameless.

Oh, and Steve Moore, if you're going to use patronymic suffixes AT LEAST SPELL THEM CORRECTLY. Thank you.

General / An interesting rumour about Dreddcon
09 October, 2003, 01:11:33 AM
While there's already a pretty hefty list of "stars" for the next Dreddcon, a rumour's going round that both Dredd creators are to show up this time, along with Arthur Ranson... Interesting...

General / Megazine back issues
26 November, 2002, 12:26:16 AM
I stopped getting the Megazine at issue 4.04, as it was impossible to find in the area where I lived. However, I like the look of what's currently in the Meg and was thinking about subscribing, but only if I could get said back issues of 4.05 to the current issue. Where's the best place for this, and does Rebellion do such things itself?

I'm now in Iceland, and literally nowhere sells 2000 AD or the Megazine, so I can't check in the Mag itself. If anyone has some for sale, I could pick them up from my parents' house over Christmas.

Thanks in advance for any help with this.
