@Colin_YNWA, have I found a fellow merseysider already?! Or perhaps a scot... As far as what I like, I suppose top of the pile is the out-in-space style sci-fi. E.g. I've just read the Ghostship Mathematica in the latest prog and loved the scale of it and I'm reading Valiants X-O Manowar as well. But I wouldn't like to niche myself too much, I enjoy all sorts for example, Dandridge is my favourite strip in the current prog line-up which is about as far from deep space as you can get.

@sauchie, that is good news! I've been taking most of these early stories for what they are, harmless fun mostly with the writers trying everything and seeing what sticks. I'm about halfway through so have had the robot Gorilla and an unbelievable amount of Walter. It's sort of oddly charming and seriously irritating at the same time. Still I've had a taste of what to come and I reckon it's worth the wait.

@COMMANDO FORCES, I look forward to them all. Even the bad ones. Any reccomendations by the way? Besides the obvious Dredd Case Files 2-19...

Good evening ladies and gents,

My name is Dan, I'm from the gloomy north west and I've just recently jumped head first into the world of 2000AD.

My first prog was 1820 but that turned out to be a tricky starting point (not including Dredd) so I started really reading from prog 1824 and haven't looked back. I've also started reading the megazine and am looking forward to getting involved in the discussions in their relevant forums (I've already lurked about a bit while waiting for my account to be okayed).

I've also grabbed Dredd Case Files #1 to give myself a bit of a starting point and have ordered Zombo Vol. 1 as I have no clue whatsoever about that strip.
