I've looked on eBay for old-style bags, but the descriptions don't make it clear enough exactly what they'll fit.

Tin swr?  This description looks fairly clear.

The quality of the meg for a long time has been incredible.  It's come a long way in the last few years.  This month is no exception and it is beginning to be a real grind waiting for next month.  So many stand outs, plus a retrospective on Ian Kennedy with what is, for my money, his most iconic Eagle cover.  Then another on the eighties Eagle.  Happy days.

And I'd agree with Richard on the character development at the end of Terror Rising.

Bugger, which cover to buy??? Z

Well, both, obviously!

Nah, the Kennedy cover.  It's a no brainer!

My eldest daughter wants the Lego Star Wars Shuttle Tydirium.  No way is she going to be able to build that by herself.  She is definitely going to need help! ;)

Have you told her she wants this yet?  ;)

You're raising those kids right, squire.

As to Dr Pearse Pearce, gotta be a better romantic imprinting than Dr House.

Had to translate the spelling for a brief moment but aye,  Dr House would be a rather disturbing one.  Although my wife sees way too many parallels with me.  Mainly the high levels of cynicism rather than the narcissism and drug addiction (unless we count the tooth).  What do you expect when you've worked for the government most of your adult life?

Well your daughter is objectively correct. Plus an early crush on Hawkeye sets the bar high for future bad-boy relationships.

Hadn't thought about that one.  Bugger.  At least she's learning the appropriate attitude towards anal authority though.

Still, I had my revenge: yesterday I bought the Boy a Warhammer 40k starter set* for Crimbass.  Bwah-hah-hah.

* Which he's been asking for since he wasn't tall enough to see onto the tables in the GW shop. Plus it doubles as my present too, so it makes perfect economic sense.

So the wife got home last night late from work.  Youngest daughter feeling tired and sensitive so we plonked down to watch a bit of telly and have a cwtch.  Wife walks in, takes one look at the telly and starts to give me a row.

"I don't believe it, you are NOT getting her into MASH!"

"Mam, Mash is awesome!" replies my daughter.

Guess getting my eldest daughter into Star Wars and comics hasn't gone down too well either.  Still working on tooth.

Yeah, the one good-looking Russian woman (who knows how to grow and wash her hair) warms up the bed of our hero after some banter? not the kind of thing that happens in Bond?  Tired, clichéd and obvious I'm afraid, why not one of the sturdier cropped women Heroes of the Soviet era or one of the Russian men or boys (cat /pigeons!) warming his bed?

Just saying, missed opportunity.

I'll grant you that one.  I guess the Bond cliche also covers it to a certain extent as well but as Hawkmonger says, not quite the full monty as it were.  I would agree that it was the weak point in an otherwise good story that is shaping up nicely.  In some respect the biggest test is whether it adds anything to the narrative in terms of plot development or character development.  It doesn't seem to have done either really.

Can't remember the exact quote but Josh Lyman's response in Take This Sabbath Day to being asked about watching naked women:  "We like looking at naked women fine, it's just watching it with other guys that's weird."

I've looked for it on Itunes, my playstation, google play and sky store as well. But I can't seem to find it.

It was on iTunes on Saturday I noticed.  DVD was already in the post from Amazon else I would have splurged for the HD version.

Loathed as I am to critise such genius, this is the internet and I am a nerd so... shouldn't Paul Fattie's belly wheel have its tire removed?

I did consider trundling Paul McEatme out with no bellywheel at all but it seemed somehow unfair.  I like the no-tire idea though!

So you had to mull him with no tyre?

I can see where the issue is although I wouldn't say it was womanising.  Seemed very much like mutual consent.  I would agree with the Cosh that it was an obvious bit of history to be explored.  Historically it would probably have been highly accurate as well.  There is a lot of social history that talks about how people dealt with that kind of thing during the war (speaking as the son of a GI baby to boot).

Hunt noted in the interview at the back that the relationship wasn't explored back in the day because of the view that the readership wouldn't have taken to it.  Considering that the readership has matured a bit (!)  that option is now open.

For me the big thing has always been that the lead character is a young twenty something who has never been to Russia in his entire life and the first day he arrives he manages to convince an entire squadron to give up trying to kill themselves and go hammer the enemy.  Considering the likelihood that any of them were fluent in English back in those days he must have been bloody good at miming! Its a plot hole so gaping you have to ignore it.

Second print with this.  They've done a better job of the mounting compared to the first.  Nice Mcneil pic.

Pleasant surprise as the wife had clearly picked it up, put it on the side and then failed to mention that it was there (possibly thinking it was one of the kids' Crimbo pressies).

Unambiguous?  Not to read half the reporting on this.  'Falling majority', 'low turnout', 'Corbyn rejected' ....
Nothing ambiguous about the reporting I've seen, though I keep away from the Daily Heil website, so maybe that's where I'm going right?

The Beeb and Grauniad.  The days of honest and unbiased journalism seem to be well and truly dead.
