The Meg continues its great form.

The Returners - this is really intriguing

Chopper - Great art by McCarthy

Great Prog must say that I enjoyed all the strips.

Anderson now starting to take a positive direction (will re-read after the dust has settled to see what I have missed). I enjoyed Roach art on the strip but there is nothing wrong with the Wilson/Robinson combo.

I must give credit on the great art and coloring on Jaegir. The story is going from strength-to-strength. Rennie is one of my favorite writers.

Anyone else got Case Files 31? Is it just me or does page 258 seem to be printed in the wrong order?

Yes, I agree the page feels out of order but it could have been done as an introduction to next part of JD's travel

In general I like Dan Abnett's work. Brink is brilliant and both Lawless and Kingdom is great as well. Sin/Dex and Grey Area is readable but the type of strips that if they don't return I will not miss them.

Agreed definitely one of the best new strips the last few years

Welcome, I am glad to know that I am not the only person in the Southern Hemisphere who enjoys 2000 AD

Must say that all the strips are great except maybe Anderson. It reads for me like I have been dropped in the middle of something and I am not sure who the real enemy is.

Nice tribute for Jim from Cam

Can I ask what this post is about? Is this a list of dire stories?

Each month the Judge Dredd Megazine comes with reprint of a classic strip.

Cover - So far the cover of the year for me

Dredd - really enjoyably once-off, reads like a classic Dredd tale of the 80s

Jaegir - I like the way the flashback is incorporated in the story. My favorite strip of the current run

Strontium Dog - The story is going great, the only gripe is that Johnny does not act like he does not care. But lets wait  and see where this is going.

Hang on, hang on. Great prog an' all but... I knew there was something amiss...

I pasted the following list of projected stories for this prog from somewhere or other a few weeks ago:

  • Dredd crosses paths once more with the terrifying Judge Pin in 'Fit for Purpose' by Rob Williams and Chris Weston
  • Vampire bounty hunter Durham Red takes on a case to reunite mother and son in 'Born Bad' by Alec Worley and Ben Willsher
  • Nort war-crimes investigator Atalia Jaegir returns to the hellworld that is Nu Earth in 'In the Realm of Pyrrhus' by Gordon Rennie and Simon Coleby
  • Psi-Judge Anderson must face a new threat rising from the Undercity in 'Undertow' by Emma Beeby and David Roach
  • History is being reshaped in 'The New World', the fourth series of the time- and dimension-jumping thriller The Order by Kek-W and John Burns!

What, no The Order? Durham Red?

I was also looking forward to the new Durham Red strip from Alec Worley

The prog is currently going strong.

Dredd promises of things to come with Pin looking like a menacing adversary.

Jaeger my favorite strip of current run and I really like the build-up to the real reason why they are on Nu-Earth

Sin/Dex is to much one-offs and I would rather have a bigger story (please Mr Abnett rather focus in bringing either the next chapters of Brink or Kingdom).

Strontium Dog is just great. Those last few panels promise a real old school caper is to follow.I can even forgive the flashback / dream sequence given it has not been done to death (unlike in Slaine).

My same sentiment

I always choose the wrong time to dump the Meg (which I do every now and then, most recently a few months ago). I don't feel the loyalty to it that I do to the prog, which I will never ever drop. There have been too many times when there's just been an ok Dredd and little else, and I find myself barely reading it. But the latest line up sounds good. Where's a decent jump in issue in recent months - start of the current Lawless run?

Well for if you have not read the Meg recently I believe the best starting point will be the beginning of 2017 with Meg 380. All the stories started at part 1. More  recently might be the start of 2018 (Meg 392) but then you will miss the start of Lawless (which started Meg 389)
