General / History of Mega City One
28 May, 2002, 07:48:40 PM
Wasn't there a story started (in the Megazine I think) that was supposed to tell of the rise of the Mega Cities. I think we were going to get a definitive history of Mega City, formation of the Judges etc..

It may have been called THE BAD MAN, but I'm not sure... Anyway the story never got very far and I'm waiting to read the rest. Will this ever get finished??

A continuing story about the rise of the Judges, building MC1 would be great. It could involve may writers and artists producing stand alone stories that fall together to tell the bigger tale of the history of MC1 etc... Running in the Megazine it could take up some of the space of those dreadded reprints.

Sorry, sort of rambled on a bit there.... but you get the idea.

General / Time Twisters/Future Shocks
17 May, 2002, 08:14:28 PM
I was just wondering about some of the old TT/FS stories and how hit and miss they were.

A few really stick in my mind.

There was one where a guy involved in some experiment that made him move really fast, from his point a view everything was ultra slow, the beating of a fly's wings etc.. he ended up getting revenge on the scientists who caused this by bringing the building down by vibrating (cos he was moving so fast ya see)the concerte supports. Excellent.

Another involved a guy having a heart attack and then relived his life in reverse from the moment of his death back to conception where his life started all over again, sort of explaining deja vu.

Another involved the coat hangers reproducing.

A few were riped off straight from The Twilight Zone.

Anyone got any favourites?

General / Sister Comic
29 April, 2002, 01:41:46 AM
After reading the history of 2000AD in the Meg I was wondering if Rebellion had any plans to produce a sister title to 2000AD, in the vein of Tornado and Starlord?

Except this new title wouldn't merg with 2000AD after 20 weeks and then vanish without a trace.

Any thoughts on this...Discuss.

General / That Stronitum Dog T.V. Thing
23 April, 2002, 12:36:32 AM
Can anyone shine any light on what happened to the Strontium Dog TV movie - I remember all the hoha about the set up of FFTV years ago, and even seen as few Esquerra production designs, but nothing came of it. In fact what ever happened to FFTV.

I also heard that they were looking at DREDGER from ACTION COMIC to convert into a movie/tv thing...anything there....

By the way Paul McGann would be great as Johnny Alpha

Just a thought - I really liked the future sports stories that appeared many moons ago - Inferno, Harlem Heros (not the Steve Dillon/Kev Walker stuff that was crap), Mean Arena (which by the way would make a fantastic movie - how about developing that one Rebellion).

Is there anyone out there that remembers these classics - discuss.

By the way I've launched a comic news website at www.ximoc.co.ukand would appreciate some opinions etc..
