yes, it it were real it would no doubt have featured promiately in the news. My guess is the site's inspired by the fact that he's playing a senator in his latest movie

Having searched a bit on the net, this is definitely a hoax, but one that did fool several American news sites because of it's professional facade.

Half the links are broken / timeouts, but if you can find your way to the press release, you'll see that the grammar and strucutre fall far short of what you'd expect from a professional election campaign.

He'd probably win.
