Write in and tell em you dont like it?

That's going to be my first port of call. Who knows, if they get enough letters in...

Didn't realise the Mean Machine strip was a reprint until someone mentioned it on here. I just thought they had taken the same storyline AGAIN. I like Mean Machine, just re-read Destiny's Angels and he's a fun character.

I really enjoyed the Angels story - for story and art - and I loved the cover.

The lead Dredd, Anderson reprint and small press all fall into the category "quite good."

That's almost all the Meg of readable quality, which is a definite improvement on recent months.

The Satanus story was again dreadful. The dialogue was laughable, the plot elements weak and the amateurish artwork very difficult to follow.
This is as bad as the Meg has ever been. Perhaps it could be replaced with Pan-African Judges, or something similar, so those pages are merely shit?

Michael Jackson?
Hmm, just pretend I wrote something witty eh?

This, of course, is missing a comma! The Anderson ain't a reprint.

"I'm shocked myself, but if it is this bad and the editor can't see that, then I am compelled to jump ship."

That story was comissioned by Alan Barnes, prior to Matt Smith taking over as editor.

Of course that sheds a slightly different light on the matter. I've found Smith's handling of Tooth exemplary, which is why I found it so irritating to find this in the Meg. It's so... so... 'not fit for purpose'.
If the Meg had any spare cash I would hope that this would have been spiked in favour of something acceptable.

I'm still writing in though. Just in case.

Certainly not enough to afford to bump entire strips that have already been paid for!

"When I feel I can do better with the writing and the drawing then i may as well entertain myself."

I'm looking forward to seeing your work in print-seriously, I'm not being sarcastic.

Well I've finally received my copy of the Meg and my initial reaction is overidingly possitive.
After some recent shaky issues, Meg 258 is something of a return to form.
The lead Dredd story was a gripping tale, with obvious parallels to the rising tide of reported gang culture in the UK. Making it not only a damn good read, but highly topical too and coupled with some superb Flint artwork-it's worth purchasing the Meg for this story alone.
Anderson sustains the quality with a sharp script and some excellent art.
Really enjoyed the interview with Henry Flint and a hope these articles continue for a long time to come, as they are exceptionally informative.
And that as far as I'm up to, so far.
But coupled with a Cover from the legendary Mick McMahon (quite a coup, this issue is a pretty essential purchase, in my opinion.

The Meg seems to have been very patchy over the last couple of years. I'm seriously thinking of cancelling my sub on it and just buying the few decent issues each year from smiths.

So are there any more Anderson stories planned after Big Robots?
