You don't know what "my side" is.

It's kind of funny. You started with quote, full of misconceptions about main topic caliming that this quote is perfect explanation of your views, but few moments later you resort to playing the victim and retracting from previous statement. We know what is your side since 10 February, 2018, 10:07:20 pm.

I will applaud to every little thing that destroys "boys club bubble" in comic book scene. This is not a sitcom version of cheap strip club where you seek refuge after argument with your wife.

Thoughts?

Thoughts? You both don't know shit about being punk.

Since the news about this special broke out I'm kind of heartbroken because of the negative voices in few 2000ad related places. I dunno, maybe it was mistake to think that this fandom is bubble free from MRA bullshit of other comic related groups.

On the other hand, I hope this special will be spectacular showcase of talented artists.

I just replayed my Nier: Automata copy to get all the chapters and endings. Maybe I played Horizon Zero Dawn more but Automata IS my game of 2017.

But also I played Zelda and I must say I loved every minute of it. This is one of the greatest big games of last year, yet still Nier wins all.

Now I'm in the Monster Hunter World badwagon and... all the praise is justified.

For now I'm very pleased with Prog but as someone said few post above mine, I really want to see something new. No sequels, no spinofs, something... new, or at least sequel to something quite new, like Counterfeit Girl.

Quote from: Mattofthespurs on 21 December, 2017, 04:40:40 PMThe crystal critters are, imo, there only to serve one purpose and that is as a plot device. And it's lazy despite how beautiful they look.

Like this god damn air-vents in Die Hard! Lazy.

every single Rebel captured at Scarif or on the Tantive IV knew where the hidden base was?

It's hard to catch rebels on Scarif when whole complex was destroyed by Death Star.

Quote from: Rusty on 19 December, 2017, 07:45:05 PMSeriously, this film feels like it was made to poke fun of the entire fanbase and lore of the originals the more you break it down.

Yes, and it's great.

The same goes with influences behind SW. Even if we put aside The Bridge on the River Kwai and Three outlaw samurai influences Johnson adressed before, he manage to go full Kurosawa in many scenes (like Ran) because Star Wars means nothing without him.

Younglings have a diminishing interest in paper

And in paying for things I fear.

It's not that morbid. Even if "kids" (ech) pirate books they usualy go for other licensed merchindise. They still consider themselves as fans and as fans they are clients for mugs, shirts, pins and whatever useless crap we also collect. It's full circle.

Beat me to it. Have to say that line (the one quoted) and "Sale are up..." open to all sorts of interpretations but hey it all sounds very positive!

Very reassuring read and for those hankerign after news of the telly show there's stuff in there to get all of a tizzy about. Nothing concrete on any level, but then that's never stopped folks!

Initially I assumed it meant print+digital progs (and megs) are up, but now you mention it, it could refer to reprints and collected editions...

Maybe it's the same situation like with some US mainstream titles. Two years ago I had some small talks with few creators from Marvel and they were somewhat frustrated because of the comichron statistics people seems to think than many Marvel books struggle with sales, because comichron sales doesn't count digital sales. And from what I know many "new" books (like Ms Marvel, Squirrel Girl, etc) have strong digital following and justify why no one in Marvel wants to cancell them.

DLC for Horizon Zero Dawn is tons of fun but only if you enjoyed basic game.

Most of the Frozen Wilds are just more HZD with small updates in skills, face animations, weapons, nothing big. But on the other hand first encounters with new few machines feels like full blown boss fights and I appreciate that.

If you liked HZD buy Frozen Wilds, but if HZD is not your cup of tea don't bother.
