Thats lovely, paul! Did you use a brush pen for that?
What are you working on at the moment?
Wheres the damn like button!!!! :-* :-* :-* >:( >:( ;)
Thanks man :)
Neil Googe's Dredd seems familiar, and that's a lovely pic. Like how he's handled the eagle-pad.
Just had a crack at colouring an earlier post of mine, but didnt like where it was going so i stopped.

Must admit I've never really thought how Dredd would look without the faceplate.(http://nerdbastards.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/04/karl-urban-photocall-dredd-03.jpg)

couple of quick scribbles tonight.
Must admit I've never really thought how Dredd would look without the faceplate.
Prog number wise (without recourse to Barney) it ran alongside the start of Portrait of a Mutant, which starts in Prog 200. So either 199 or 201?

Oh, he's good!
I've been looking for an excuse to get back into my drawing so I think I will have a dabble at the weekend with this one :D
Been almost 10 years since I last sat down and spent any considerable time drawing.
There are some awesome examples in this thread though :D
Lots of great vibes coming off those, Woolly. Unmistakably yours, but variously hints of Flint, Richardson and a Walker, too. Great stuff!
Cheers
Jim
..your eagle is Bad ass!
Wonderful Darren! How on earth did you achieve such solid colours like that?
There have been a flurry of Dredd Heads posted to Facebook recently, originally spurred on by Steven Austin, I believe. Here's another from me.The vibe I get from this is Trevor Hairsine circa Wilderlands. That's meant as a compliment!

So following my original post of the Dredd profile on my FB page, Brian Bolland stopped by and tweaked my original image leaving this on my wall with the message, "I think he needs a fatter lip". :)At one LSCC talk, Bolland said that Dredd's lip should protrude further than his chin. I prefer it the other way round but who am I to argue with one of the best Dredd artists ever?

Lovely work mightybren. Reminds me of Mick Austin, which is a good thing!!
What program are you using on the iPad if you don't mind me asking mightybren? That's a great piece

'Ere's a fairly naff WC Dredd Head doodled last night. Not sure I'd want to see an entire comic drawn in that style, but I like how much it strays from the usual shapes (of the red bit on the helmet, the badge) but is still recognisably Joe.

He should probably have a go at one of the sample scripts…
Darren, that is awesome :o
That's excellent and pretty submit-worthy as it is, I reckon. Not to dissuade you from going ahead with colour work - that will be nice to see too, but this is special as it is.
Wonderful stuff. Maybe just redraw Dredd's hand so he pointing directly at the viewer.
Love your inking style on Dredd's chops though!
I love those Dredds, Jase. Lovely lines!
Nice!Thanks!
"630250 years, creep".
Very nice indeed, Sinx! Thanks very much!
That's bloody good :o

I'm using a private server - one of the benefits of working in IT ;)
Yeh. Great stuff, Sinx! Out of interest, what are you using to host your pics, now that Photobucket has shit the bed....?
Cheers! I know I'm spamming this thread a bit - hope that's OK?Post-It Dredds are not spamming! Keep posting [it] :)

It's a great pic!Yeh, once it clicks with you it's an amazing programme. There's really nothing that compares!
I just started using Clip Studio after years of working in Photoshop. Slightly frustrating at first trying to find equivalents to all of my trusty photoshop tools, but I'm really enjoying it now.
The brush tools, the blending and the layers management are a huge step forward over the version of photoshop that I had been using.

I really like your painted Dredd,SinxThank you! Much appreciated
Good Stuff SinxThanks!
Superb Woolly is that drawn on a tablet or on paper? If on paper what size?
The black/white/grey works so well.
