Dredd - intriguing start including a character from the The Avalanche novella, & some McMahon inspired art.
Skip Tracer - the design of the lead character sums this up, bland & generic.
Survival Geeks - love the artwork but never got into this, I find all the references too obvious.
Damned: The Fall of Deadworld - Love it.
Durham Red - brilliant! Great opening episode. Great artwork.

20 minutes in. Does it get any better because at the moment it is an awful attempt to ape early Guy Ritchie with a stunt man trying to do an impression of Jason Statham. So much cringy voice-over.

I’d check the settings on my TV, if I were you.
It seems to be picking up 20-plus year-old episodes of Star Trek Voyager.

Bad set up? There was plenty set up with lots of interesting places to take it. Sadly Mr Johnson chose to ignore it. At least he had the good sense not to leave any interesting plot threads or develop things in any meaningful way. Audiences can't be upset by what happens next as there are no cliffhangers or any tantilising plot threads.

Well he got that right. But what exactly did unhappy fans expect from Luke in TLJ?

« on: 02 January, 2018, 01:54:18 PM »Much as I like Black Mirror, I always get the impression that the tale could be told in half the time.Agree 100%. This episode seems to be getting a lot of love but the longer running time was unnecessary & having it at the standard 50mins would have made for a much better episode.
Callister was ok just a bit drawn out and, once the "twist of who the real baddie was, didn't seem to have anywhere to go other than the actual resolution. Did I miss something?

Because that whole plot line went nowhere & felt like something from the prequels. & there would have been no need for that plot if Holdo hadn't kept her plan secret for unknown reasons.
