Well...

After a brief bit of toiling (script and art are with the letterer now, then off to the printers) I'll have a preview comic ready for cramming into the faces of anyone willing to look at it.

Here's my big question:

What is the proper etiquette for submitting my comic? In the prose world simultaneous submissions are seriously frowned upon, so a writer (without an agent to solicit for him) is expected to submit, wait for response, repeat. I plan to hit up every comic convention and force my project upon unwitting editors.

Is that the right way or the wrong way?

EDIT: of course I also plan to hand out free copies to plain old readers and every reviewer I can find, for word-of-mouth's sake. And I'll make it free on the internet, too.
