Special mention for Pure Race by Sharky, as it took me far, far too long to work out that 'schyting' was supposed to read 'scything' and not 'shitting'.  A most excellent typo, sir, my heartiest congratulations!

Well done, folks - best of luck!

Great entries this month folks! I like the way some of you have come at the brief at a different angle.
1) Modern Panther - very clever, very apt.
2) Jacqusie - lovely prose work.
3) The Legendary Shark Pure Race - another great tale from the Shark.
"Give a man a mask and he will give you the truth."

Jacqusie

Some really varied tales and not many that went down the obvious twists and turns on the route of a race...

1) ECHIDNA - Took me to the heart of the story, graphic and very well scripted

2) EAMONN CLARKE - I loved the dune shark stories and have been awaiting their return, so thanks!

3) THE LEGENDARY SHARK - "Pure bred - Good idea (I was going to use the 'Alpha and the race of mutants' until I saw your entry, so well done in getting the idea & a Stront Dog tale is always welcome

Great work everyone!

That ought to be 'Clarke', sorry Eamonn!  (I was concentrating on getting Eamonn spelt right...)

1: Eamonn "Hotdog". Really fluid writing.

2: Lobo. Poignant.

3: MikeD. For the courage to take on Ace and the skill to pull it off!

HM's: Sharky "Pureblood" Great writing. Panther "audio transcript" Scarily topical.

Thanks everyone, I had an idea for this one but couldn't get my act together. Sorry.
