Games / BattleTech for PC

In case anyone might be interested a new BattleTech game is being developed for the PC (and Mac and Linux).

They have a Kickstarter for the game and have got the funding for a complete single player campaign so far. Which is great, but they are no where near the goal for a full PVP online game.

General / High-Rise by J. G. Ballard. A possible influence on Mega-City One?

Hi all,

I've recently read High-Rise by J. G. Ballard. It was first published in 1975 and I can't help but see some similarities between this book and the city blocks of MC-1.

I haven't been able to come across any references that this book might have an influence one way or the other. So I thought I would pose the question here. Did this book influence the world of Judge Dredd in any way?

Does anyone know of place where you can buy digital audiobooks on an individual basis and not have to subscribe to a monthly service?

I'd rather not use iTunes since I'll be using an Android phone to listen to them.

After going over my finances of late it looks as if I have a little extra money and I've decided to subscribe digitally to either sfx or scifinow. I've purchased both in the past and they are both good publications, but I'd like to hear from other subscribers on what they think.
