Droid Life because it isn't Anderson.

However good Mayflies may or may not end up being, Ant Wars is at this moment superior. Because it is GIANT KILLER ANTS TAKING OVER THE WORLD! And ain't nothing better than that. Can I get an Amen?

Keep it, but make it its own thing if possible.

I'm not the biggest fan of Regened, but I'm a completist who has invested 45 years into the prog and I'm not going to suffer gaps at this stage. To make it slightly worse, I buy two copies of each prog- one for my son- and even he, at 18, thinks Regened isn't for him.

Having said that, I've quite enjoyed this week's- with Dredd, the Harry Potter/Grange Hill one and the Future Shock not being at all bad. I have no objection to them continuing.

I wish the real prog had the same production value though. Those shiny covers are lush.

Shakara! Although it's close.

Shakara is the kind of strip that the prog should always do- a weird and brilliantly-designed alien protagonist, mad pithy catchphrases and mind-expanding art. We see the latest version of that in Proteus Vex, but to my mind Shakara was slightly more iconic. But Vex is only just getting started, so who knows.

Stainless Steel Rat *should* have started a tradition of 2000ad adapting the very best of prose Sci-Fi into comic form. We *should* have had many since, and the prog *should* be currently running an adaptation of The Murderbot Diaries, by Martha Wells. But it's not. So however good SSR was, it evidently didn't do the job and so Shakara wins it.

Mean Machine. But again, this was a battle of two of Tharg's lesser thrills.

I'm afraid The Alienist was my "least favourite Thrill in living memory" when it was running in the prog, and a recent attempted reread stalled after two episodes of treacle-wading.

So, Skip Tracer by virtue of not actually making me want to give up comics entirely.

Yeah, I reckon you can call this now- Brink. Best of the very best.

It was mostly terrible, but Big Dave made it readable and is memorable to this day, so it was worth it for that alone.

Maybe, depends how it is handled afterwards

Durham Red... but largely for the Abnett iteration.

I really, really like Armitage. It's one of the relatively few Meg-originals that has given us a new and lasting character who has been welcomed back over the decades.

But Luke Kirby is better.
