Considering that companies such as Pixar have managed to cater to both children and their parents at the same time, is it completely inappropriate to reflect from our "embittered forty or fiftyish" perspective?
A massive amount of work over the years - I'm sure there's quite a few progs which were carried entirely by Ellie and Annie Parkhouse (wasn't there a Megazine interrogation with the two of them at some point?)
Describing something as Fuck Off, as opposed to telling some to do so, is quite specific - I suspect it is an Irish/Scottish/Dudley sort of phrase

I think this will end up sort of like Fullmetal Alchemist.Once the final book is done,we will get a more faithful adaptation and this will just be remembered as weird fanfiction.
Why is there still a Night's Watch?
Same reason there was a Night's Watch prior to the events of GoT - you need guards against wildling raids and it's somewhere to stick unwanted scions of Great Houses.
Why would there be wildling raids? The Gift is theirs if they want it.
There are many factions of wildlings, not all of whom are going to meekly obey Jon Snow. Raids will happen again.
Don't forget all the Grumpkins and Snarks
