I hear a lot of references to "Mark Millar's Conveyer Belt", often in conjunction with molten metal.

Did this happen in the prog or Meg?  If so, where?

The first ones that spring to mind are both in the prog.

Book Of The Dead saw Old Stoney Face battering an immortal ancient egyptian god into submission on a conveyor belt, where it was quickly chopped up into several thousand small, immortal portions.

Then there was that thing with the hard-ass vatican Judge killing a variety of international Judges in the arctic. IIRC, he met with a conveyor belt related end as well.

There was almost certainly one in Purgatory/Inferno, too...
Dan Dare will return for a new adventure soon, Earthlets!

The last episode of Purgatory.  As with pretty much all of Millar's 2000ad material, it featured a fight on a moving object/a chase sequence lifted from a film.  There was something about a robot power-suit (no, really) worn by the warden of a prison colony on Titan, and Judge Grice had a fight with him on a conveyor belt leading towards a vat of molten metal (no, really), and then the planet blew up (no, really), and the escaping judges went to Mega-City One for a universally panned mini-mega-epic which I thought was considerably better than Judgement Day.

I actually went out and hunted down the progs with Inferno in them just to see if it was as bad as everyone on here made out.

I'm sorry I doubted.

Hmm, just pretend I wrote something witty eh?

Carlos' art was as good as ever, although I thought the redesign of the surgically altered face to a little tin nose was a bit of a cop out...

Satanist

Yeah the art was nice but the scene where Dredd lets a guy drown(he was cubed for something like littering or speeding)just really, really grated with me.

I mean really grated!

There's a law that states "Whenever anyone mentions Inferno or Purgatory, Funt Solo must complain about the Statue of Judgement crashing into the West Wall."

There.

If we break that law do we get sent to Titan and given little tin noses?

opaque

Was a pity but you could just attribute that to superior techology over the years from when Rico went to Titan

Funt Solo

I always thought that, never mind 20 years on an inhospitable moon - they also mutilate your face!

The little metal nose just diminished that.

Mind you, it wasn't the worst thing about that storyline by a long shot.  So much to choose from...

Red Razors fought Dredd on a conveyor belt, too...

Also, Purgatory had a disturbing amount of pornographic lady Judge deaths.
He's only trying to be what following how his dreams make you wanna be, man!

That was Crusade. I liked that story. There was also a maudlin talking coal carriage.  I remember Dredd calling the Egyptian Judge a meathead.

as much as i pull this piss out of these sequences in Millar scripts i quite liked Crusade(from when i started reading tooth, ythats my excuse and i'm sticking to it) and red Razors too but wasn't it DRedd Clone number X or something that did Razors in?
