Arf! You crazy young people and your digital piracy!

Tell you what, send me your mobile number and next time I'm home I'll play it down the phone to you.

Hear that DDD? All you need to do then is answer Cosh on a land line and record the song as played by Cosh onto your mobile phone. Then buy a lead to connect your phone to your computer and then Bob's your uncle.

NB: If your mobile phone hasn't got any means of coupling to a pc simply play your recording alongside a friends phone. They can make a recording of your recording and then follow the instructions above to make a crisp mp3 copy for your listening pleasure. I hope this is of some use to you.  ;)

Messing about on u tube came across a cracking cover version of an obscure Ramones track called Babysitter by a bunch of space cadets from Denver called the Buckingham squares. Fantastic stuff!  Also a great video of Grant Hart doing Now that you know me. Z :D

Not sure if it's "listening to", so much as "experienced", but I went to see Tomoko Sauvage last night. She plays a bunch of salad bowls and gets feedback from water. A very pleasant way to spend a couple of hours lying on the floor.

If you're into stoner/sludge/doom, check out Thorun.  They have a new EP out, and it's pretty bloody good!  I also love the cover artwork.

Definitely Not Mister Pops

You may quote me on that.

This week, I have mostly been listening to Les Claypool's Duo de Twang

Me too. Les can do no wrong in my eyes. Love all of his stuff.
Dumb all over, a little ugly on the side.

This early track from Ben Frost's new album is pretty amazing and seems to have this year's "best drum in a record" prize sewn up before Easter.

I saw Ben Frost at the Tollbooth in Stirling a few years ago and he was amazing. He really knows how to get a bit of distorted bass to drive right in through your guts and out through the top of your head. No word on whether Sauchie had made it up the hill that night.

FUCK ME! I had the tablet hooked up to my amp when I clicked on that Youtube link, and the punishing racket it made was fantastic. I've only heard a couple of things by Frost before, and none of them had that number's propulsive quality - if they had, I might have risked a night of close confinement with a bunch of students in the wee toon that thinks it's a city. Cheers for Buttress too, Judda; anything with echoes of horrorcore is alright by me.

I'm going to ruin the underground cool of the thread, and admit that if I'd spent the weekend swigging imported beer from the bottle in designer bars while trying to chat up disinterested Czech waitresses (instead of doing the grout in the bathroom), I'd have been listening to this hipster lady music at deafening volume and secretly enjoying it. It's sonically quite interesting, and it's produced by Shlohmo, so that makes it okay.

Please don't hate me. :D
Whatever happened to Rico, Dolman and Cadet Paris? I'm sooo out of the loop.

Sepultura - The Mediator between Head and Hands must be the Heart.

Blistering return to form for the mighty Seps. Far heavier than the the last few albums, with some Industrial elements thrown into the mix.

Highlights - The Vatican, Obsessed.
