General / Best of 2000ad vol. 1
« on: 15 June, 2022, 04:39:13 PM »
I have just seen the advert for this on the website (arriving September) and wanted to clarify if there is any unseen material. It states in the blurb that it is a mixture of modern classics and gems from the vault, but it does say there will be an explosive "new" Judge Dredd adventure as well as a vintage Dredd case. Does this mean a brand new story or just something fairly modern and recent? It mentions the Dredd story 'Mutie Block' which doesn't ring any bells with me, but someone else may recall it?

General / Sisters of Death question
« on: 27 June, 2021, 12:52:46 PM »
Just browsing on Wikipedia when I came across some information that the Sisters of Death, Phobia and Nausea, also had a previously unknown (at least to me!) third sister. Can anyone say in which stories this unnamed sister appeared in, and also what has become of her?
Many thanks.

General / Pat Mills' Third World War question
« on: 21 January, 2021, 10:01:16 PM »
I have just taken possession of my webshop-exclusive 'Third World War' hardcover and have a query. According to the contents page at the beginning of the book compared with what Barney says does actually exist for the story in Crisis; issues 25 and 29 appear to be missing. Can anyone shed any light as to why these two parts of the story would be omitted? Or, could someone from the Rebellion team themselves say why?

General / Avatar seems to be missing!
« on: 11 July, 2020, 08:08:50 PM »
Just wondered what happened to my 'Fink Angel & Ratty' avatar?? A lot of other people's pictures also seem to have disappeared, although for some forum members it is still there. What gives?

General / Nemesis colour spreads question
« on: 29 March, 2020, 09:50:46 PM »
A quick question for any 2000ad experts out there: Can anyone tell me which Prog the Book 3 colour centrespreads in Nemesis appeared? And, were there any other parts in the whole story which were originally in colour but reprinted in black and white in subsequent collected volumes?

Many, many thanks anyone who can help!

General / Judge Dredd 100 Page Giant
« on: 12 March, 2020, 08:08:30 PM »
I saw the above title as shipping in this week's new comics on GOSH Comic's website and was just wondering if anybody knew anything about it? I don't recall hearing about this coming out and was curious as to what stories it contains and if there is any new material in it? Does anyone have the lowdown on this??

Website and Forum / Unable to access the shop
« on: 13 February, 2020, 05:13:26 PM »
I have bought items from the 2000ad shop many times in the past without problems, but now when I click on the shop link it says "Your connection is not secure" - attackers might be trying  to steal your information from shop.2000ad.com and will not let me proceed any further.
Can anybody help in trying to surmount this problem (I'm not great with all matters technical, but any advice would be gratefully received).

Classifieds / Looking to buy: Poster Prog
« on: 13 October, 2019, 07:18:03 PM »
I am looking to purchase the recently released Poster Prog with the exclusive Judge Dredd story that went out to all new subscribers of the Prog and Meg. If anyone has a spare, or knows where I could get one, please let me know.
Thank you.

General / Daily Dredds
« on: 07 March, 2019, 05:46:14 PM »
I was just wondering what happened the Daily Star's Dredd reprints? It seems an awful long time since volume 2 came out and no news on the horizon about when or if the next one will come out. If memory serves there was an issue with scans for 'The Sheriff of Festering Hole' story, so perhaps this is why this project seems to be on hold? I truly hope though that it has not been kicked into the long grass indefinitely and we will see it continued with.

Suggestions / Complete Mean Machine Angel
« on: 20 December, 2018, 04:21:50 PM »
Thinking about which stories would make for welcome collections, a complete edition of Mean Machine Angel's appearances struck me as something that has not been done in its entirety before and could be considered. Omitting 'The Judge Child Quest' (due to its considerable length), but focusing on all his other appearances in both Dredd and solo stories could make for an interesting collection. I have detailed below what I believe to be a comprehensive list (please feel free to tell me if I have missed any) of what should feature in this prospective compilation:

Destiny's Angels - progs 281-288
Dredd Angel - prog 377-383
A Merry Tale of the Christmas Angel - prog 450
Travels With Muh Shrink - progs 730-736
Son Of Mean Machine - megs 2.63-2.72
Visiting Time - meg 2.82
Mean Streets - meg 3.37
Born Mean - meg 3.69
The Geek - meg 3.74
Support Yore Local Bastich - meg 3.75
The Last Vidshow - meg 3.78
Butt Me Deadly - meg 3.79
Angel Heart - megs 218-220
The Mean Machine Goes To Town - JD Annual 1982
The Mean Machine Gets Married - JD Annual 1983
Psycho Analysis - Sci-Fi Special 1995
Close Encounters of the Mean Kind - Sci-Fi Special 1996
Judgement on Gosham - JD Yearbook 1994
Fifty Year Man - prog 1536
You Are Mean Machine - meg 2.47
The Three Amigos - megs 3.02-3.07
The Mean machine - JD Poster Prog 3
Tales From The Black Museum: Rising Angel - meg 358

Coming in at 23 stories I appreciate this would constitute a particularly hefty tome; so perhaps it would be better split over two volumes (preferably hardcovers) charting the progress of one of 2000ad's most iconic and enduring villains.
Any other Squaxx agree?

General / Repro question
« on: 29 April, 2018, 08:08:58 PM »
In the light of the recent discussions over on the 2000ad Ultimate Collection thread about the improvement of the reproduction comparing Rebellion's edition of Slaine: Warriors Dawn with the new Ultimate hardcover. I wanted to ask if certain stories that have suffered from bad repro, such as Dredd's Father Earth and some sections of early ABC Warriors to name but two, can ever be improved to the standard we would like to see? Admittedly, I don't know a lot about the processes and difficulties involved and how it works; but wondered if, as technology improves in these matters, one day repro for older stories will also improve? (Could we one day, perhaps, go to the original progs and get a good result from them?) I think this is an issue that matters to most loyal readers.

Would anyone who is more qualified and who knows a bit about such issues care to comment?

I am looking to purchase the first two 'Caballistics Inc.' trades (Going Underground and Creepshow) from anyone who might be willing to part with them. I am a bit fussy about condition and ideally would like them without creases and in as new condition, but I am willing to pay the very best prices for them. Anyone who has these books and would like to do a deal, please let me know. Thanks.
