Probably Tikbook and Facetok and Twixxer knew all about it moons ago.

Great episode.

I've had the omnibus edition sitting unread on a shelf for about five years. Not sure why as I enjoyed the prequel, Point Blank.

This will finally get me reading.

this was last November I think.

"Thanks to book clubber Ed Doyle for this info:
Zarjaz is coming back under the original editor Andrew J Lewis (email at bottom of this post) and he's looking for submissions based on the first 250 progs of 2000AD.

...

No Pat Mills created strips so Flesh, Nemesis,  Ro Busters, ABC warriors are out.
Email Andrew with script synopsis/ art samples,  etc to....

Troy Martin returns from the Requiem Vampire Knight episode to join the film club and discuss the greatest moustache of the 1980s in Runaway, and then to compare a cute alien puppet to Skizz with interesting results.

Stephen White AKA Stref joins me to discuss The Silence of Unicorns: a Tara Togs adventure, his new all-ages graphic novel on Kickstarter with Comic Scene. We also talk about his love of Tintin and play one of the most expensive rounds of the grail page game ever.

Stephen mentioned having a first edition 'Secret of the unicorn' book to read at his granny's - here's what that book like like.

It is described as the 'medallion' edition. Casterman only reprinted two titles. These are now rare and valuable editions!

Thanks, Richard. And here is the cover image that Stephen chose as his Tintin grail. Anyone got $2m to spare?

Richard S.

yes, I was involved with this. I did the proof reading on my Summer holiday one year - it was a very pleasant way to spend my evenings!
This is the only books I've ever backed on Zoop. It wasn't cheap either! £60? Anyway, well worth it.

Great stuff - looking forward to this.  I didn't read much Warlord but I had an annual, and the dialogue keeps me and my brother amused to this day.

Random thought bubble: 'Good job I've hidden this knife up my jolly old sleeve.'

There was also a page of facts about WW2, one of which involved a Britsh Tommy asking an Australian soldier what he was soaking his boots in. 'Urine, mate!', was the alleged reply, as if that's what an Ozzie soldier would call it.

Here's my list of Colin's work for Commando. I don't have 17 issues recorded but I wonder if that's because some of the 17 haven't been published yet? Or it could just be that I've missed a few, let me know if you spot any omissions!
