Ancient Otter

Found out today The Scorpion Volume 6 will be released in the April, this brings us up to volume 8 in the French series, in which volume 10 was released this month.

Fantastic news. Funnily enough I was just checking that on the Cinebooks website when I was checking what Cinebooks to pick up at Thought Bubble tomorrow. Not showing there yet so pleased to hear it in the way. Love that series.

Maybe this will be the year that the long promised Bacchus Omnibuses will come out!
.

I quote myself not to please my ego but to report bad news. I had a chat with the publisher at Top Shelf yesterday and alas he said this one is unlikely for a while. He really wants to do it but the work involved at this time with the market as it is, means it probably just not going to happen yet. He really wants to and we both lamented the fact that there is a bigger potential market for Eddie Campbell's genius.

So like can I ask you all to e-mail Top Shelf and promise to buy 10 or more copies when this comes out? Oh go on plllleeeeaaaasseeeeee.

In better news I had a nice chat with the bloke from Cinebooks and there's some very interesting stuff coming from them this year (including one big secret one he couldn't talk about, colour me intrigued), including a new wonderful looking pirate comic. YAH more Pirate comics.

They are also trying there best to untangle the right to Blueberry, BLUEBERRY people. Not sure this will happen anytime soon, but they are working on it. So that's great news.

This might be a stretch, but while doing a trawl on the basis that there might be more DC hardcovers mis-priced given two have been spotted at £14.99 minus discount, I stumble across this listing for Mezolith 2

Not sure if this will happen as its listed a long way off but good news if it is.

Hmmm, that would indeed be a marvellous thing if it happens. The first one was rather special wasn't it? Just so unlike anything else in terms of the era depicted and the art itself.

That's not just 'good news', that's celebrate-in-the-streets, the drinks are on me, whip my trousers off and swing em round my head good news. The first volume is one of the most beautiful comics ive ever seen, and i'd lost all hope of ever seeing another. Is this running in The Phoenix then?

Humanoids are re-releasing The Incal as separate, large size, limited edition volumes in 2013, not sure if SelfMadeHero will pick these up.

Sorry the last post was meant for The Incal on Amazon thread.  :-[

In other Humanoids news, March 2013 solicitations have Humanoids releasing a title called Armies....I wonder if this is a new collection of Conquering Armies, a title Pat Mills has name dropped has an influence on him.

New ongoing Jonathan Hickman series in March too, East of West. Maybe a bit soon to launch another ongoing series since Secret is quite delayed.

The Adventurer

Secrets probably delayed due to the artist (that's usually how these things go) so I don't see a problem with launching another series.
