I have no doubt that *most* of you will have received the first 2000 AD email newsletter today, but if not you can sign up to THRILL-MAIL by clicking on this link and filling in your details: http://2000adonline.us5.list-manage2.com/subscribe?u=a6e40236aa24d482cfff600d2&id=f96459e4a2
It was a nice surprise when I woke up!
Yep all good stuff. Far better than Thrills by the Grotanagrixian Snafflebeast Postal Service.
Yes very good. :D
I never got it! :o
Well ya got one now ;)
Yeah...
Belated 'nice one' for this. A good way of getting a blast of Thrill-news out there.
?
Not got anything. :(
V

reported as spam
All signed up!
not had one yet
That's because they're every Wednesday. Is it Wednesday yet?
Has someone been tweaking with the Molch-R droids sarcasm adjuster again?
-pj
(PS anyone want to send me the first one, as I missed it...)
Just sent :)
Cheers!
I never got one either. Probably as my email was wrong. But I've fixed it now!
If you've signed up, you should have the latest newsletter now...
I signed up previously but haven't had either... Is it just too Thrilling for my email to handle, or what?

Unless there's some kind of Official 2000AD viagra, it's not in there...
Could it be a problem with .Mac accounts? My CAF contact email was my .Mac account which routinely bounced mail back as spam without it even getting into my junk mail.
I could try switching the Thrill-mail to an alternative email account and see if that helps.
EDIT (EDIT! HAH!): then again, the original confirmation email got through fine when I set this up with the .Mac account.
Hmmm, we've only ahd one bounce back and that's a @fsmail.net address... curious.
I don't have one and it's not in my spam folder either.
My Thrill mail's working fine, received second one today.
Cheers 2000 AD :)

Same here.
I received the first few no problems, but I haven't had one this week. Is there a problem?
Cheers :)
Was there one sent last week? I've had all of them bar the 17th October.
SBT
Please check your spam filters - these go out every Wednesday to the same list...
How do I sign up? I've got a gmail address. That is what I registered with. Is it automatic or do I need to tell Tharg that I want to receive his wisdom once a week?

There they are! I wouldn't have been surprised if the spam filter had kicked in from the start (not that I'm suggesting it's actually spam!) but the first couple got through okay.
Then I look and there's 3 more in spam! Fickle anti-spam-bot. ;)
Looks like the blurbs and cover pics for Origins and Day of Chaos are round the wrong way in this weeks newsletter.
Yep.
Just had the new Thrill-mail through. This is a fantastic piece of news communication. All the droids involved should have an extra ration of synthi-lube.
Hope I get one, just had to re-subscribe as I seem to have been removed from the list. Haven't had one for the last couple of months and they've not been erroneously delivered to my spam file either..
And why the feck do I get the American thrill mail?
Fer chris' sake?

How odd. Sometimes ISPs do take issue with Mailchimp but it usually gets sorted. Let me know if they continue to not arrive.

Oh. Mailchimp decides where you are based on your IP address. If you're getting the wrong one, try unsubscribing and then subscribing again to see if it sorts it.
Just subscribed. Z
Liking the links to the art and story competitions as well as the covers blog.
Well done droids.
I'm so broken. This damned comic has broken me. I've said similar things before but when Molch-R named 'Mailchimp' my first thought was 'How odd, why didn't he give them a droid name?', it took a while before it occured to me its probably the name of the software used...
this bloody comic has broken me... damnit!

Cheers, will do.
I'd like to take a little straw poll: if you're signed up to the Thrill-Mail are you receiving it every Wednesday? If not, let me know. Thanks! :)
Yup – I am.
Yup, mine arrives regular as clockwork
Get mine every week.
Yup, every Wednesday (time varies). Don't think a week has been missed.
yep without fail
Yes, although two Ive had to dig it out of the spam folder as it goes to my personal @aol.com account.
Yes. Goes to my spam folder as I haven't got round to adding it to the safe sender list yet.
Yep mine always seems to arrive at some point on a Wednesday.
Aye.
Yes it comes through with no problems.
I've been getting money no problem, regular as clockwork, ever since I signed up in September.
Me too.
Mine comes through just fine every week. Many thanks to all involved!
Mine hasn't? Z
No problems here.
Mine arrives too. A thrill-powered knife cutting through the spam.
Every week - regular as clockwork.
Squaxx- Molcher was asking for you to let him know if you DON'T get the Thrill mail every week.

Yeah so? What you actually expect us to read what
he says? Me, I was just blindly following the crowd.
I read it. He said he was taking a straw poll.
NECROPOST! I've given the Thrill-Mail a little redesign - do let me know what you think, especially whether you think the white background works/doesn't work.
I just loaded it up against the previous one. In all honesty, I preferred the black, largely because it nicely frames the content in my email client, and that's useful on a larger display (I mostly read email on an iMac) that's predominantly white elsewhere. It also stood out against other messages I receive, which are mostly text-based.
Other observations: in my email client (Apple Mail), the footer test was white and therefore unreadable (against a white background); none of the previous footer links were there (podcast; apps; etc.)
