Count me in for this one!
I'd heard rumours about this, turns out the original negatives in the Thrill Containment Units were of a better quality than previously thought (or so I've heard).

Cant wait to see the print quality.

General / Dredd's chin...
10 April, 2021, 04:29:54 PM
So, I had another read of End Of Days because I'm a sucker for punishment and I noticed that, after their encounter with Famine, Dredd's chin gets thinner along with the rest of his body.

So... Is Dredd's chin mainly just fat?

Creative Common / Selling Art - A Question...
25 November, 2020, 07:50:12 PM
Hope someone can help here...

I'm thinking of trying to sell some art, potentially prints of said art.
Thing is, am I allowed to sell prints of characters owned by Rebellion without a license? Or would I be limited to selling only the original pieces?
Also, would it have to be commissioned work in order for me to sell it in the first place?

General / 80's T-Shirt Identification Help required!
21 March, 2017, 06:30:20 PM
Recently found this old, probably '83, photo of me looking both creepy and utterly lame...

...and is that a Marvel/MiracleMan T-Shirt I'm wearing?

Looked it up online, and I think it may be Young MarvelMan, but I'm just not sure.
It's puzzling me, as I had no idea the character even existed till fairly recently!

Either way, I'm glad I don't wear shorts any more...  :o

General / Greg Staples Interview - Slimehouse TV
25 February, 2017, 09:49:09 PM
As the title says, 15 minute comics interview with Greg Staples for Slimehouse TV, one of the ventures of my mate Theo.
Covers how he got into 2000AD and Dark Justice, amongst other things.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tLeI0Uhliv4

Gotta hand it to Theo, he doggedly tracked him down and has now got Greg doing a poster design for his upcoming self-funded feature!

Considering Raimi's output these days, this could go either way.

Film & TV / TV's Professionals head for big screen!
28 March, 2011, 09:19:56 PM
From BBCnews:

"Cult crime series The Professionals is to return in a new film version that will show how Bodie and Doyle came to work for British security unit CI5.

The project - co-produced by Lionsgate UK and Eighth Wonder Pictures - is expected to start shooting on location in the UK later this year.

Casting has yet to be announced in what has been described as "an exhilarating, emotionally-charged action-thriller".

Lewis Collins and Martin Shaw starred in the original 1970s TV show.

"The Professionals was such an iconic British crime series that it's a fantastic opportunity for Lionsgate to be able to bring it to the big screen for the first time," said Zygi Kamasa of Lionsgate UK.

"This production will combine the wit and fast-paced action of the original TV series but also completely reinvent it for a new, modern audience."

The original Professionals - which also featured Gordon Jackson as CI5 chief George Cowley - ran from 1977 to 1983.

"To take this 70s TV classic and launch it onto the big screen is a dream come true," said Eighth Wonder's Richard Whelan.

Created by writer Brian Clemens, The Professionals was famous for its propulsive Laurie Johnson theme tune and the Ford Capris its characters drove.

The late Edward Woodward appeared in a short-lived TV remake - CI5: The New Professionals - that aired on Sky One in 1999."

Not as good a choice as The Sweeney, but could still be a winner!

Suggestions / Charley's War Idea...
29 July, 2010, 12:34:21 PM
ALthough i've not really been reading Savage (not my cup of tea, TBH) i've still been scanning through the unbelievably good artwork. The gritty realism and sheer detail in every single one of those panels is staggering, and in my mind can only be compared to one thing - Charley's War.

And that got me thinking...

Would it be a good thing to let Pat Mills revisit Charley's War and complete it in the way he originally wanted to, before all the editorial problems?
Patrick Goddard has now proved that he can step into Joe Colquhouns shoes, and the Mills Droid is on fire these days. Would it work? Has it been too long since original publication?

Any thoughts?

Apologies if this has already been posted on the board, but as a massive fan of Nightbreed i felt i had to let you know of this.

Clive Barker (and someone by the name of Mark Miller! Could it be...?) is currently trying to get Morgans Creek executives to okay a longer edition (up to 55 minutes longer!) of his would-be masterpiece, but so far they just don't want to know  :(

More information and a petition if you follow this link...

Fingers crossed we'll finally get to see the 'Breed in all their 90's make-up glory!
