DD, I think it is you who needs to read the rules...there is nothing wrong with either having, or attempting to aquire, programme 3. I already have a number two (heh heh).
But I'm not prepared to pay more then it's *worth to me* so I'm not surprised to have been outbidded so easily.

Membership requirements:

1 - Owning 2000AD prog 534

2 - Not owning 2000AD prog 1
2a - Members are allowed to have owned prog 1 as long as they do not own it at present.
2b - Members are allowed to own reproductions of prog 1 e.g. the micro version as printed in progs 300-307 or the elusive 'Digital Archives'.

3 - Membership can be advanced to Gold Membership if the member has stopped reading 2000AD at some point and then subsequently 'returned to the fold'.
3a - The length of time away from 2000AD that is deemed acceptable for Gold Membership purposes is down to the club founder's discretion.

my apologies. sorry to hear that you can not own prog 1. its lovely you know. something so specail about it. ask any of the owners of a copy.its really really specail.

by the way. i enjoy your hard work on the league.

I was just scanning through the fan zone, (What's happened to the shortcut to the message board on the homepage?) and I found a chain of links back to this thread, a club I'd forgotten I was a member of (Gold Class no less!)...
