New 2000AD Site
« on: 01 November, 2002, 07:47:13 PM »
I've been putting together a 2000AD site over the past few weeks - and now need some traffic and opinions!

So if you get a chance - please take a look and tell me what you think.  I get the feeling I may be throwing myself to the lions here - but what the hell.

The URL is www.2000adreview.co.uk

Link: www.2000adreview.co.uk" target="_blank">2000AD Review

A very good site - nice one, Mr H.  I'll certainly be keeping an eye on it in future.

What to say, nice looking site but with links to the official 2000AD site for the more info sections it seems to make them a bit redundant.

Also the site doesn't quite fit on my screen so I have to do the annoying thing of moving the site to the left and right slightly.

The strong point of this site I suppoose will be the reviews, but I disagreed with most of the reviews. This doesn't mean that its a bad site but the reviews are written by someone with differing views to my own.

This could be of interest to new or lapsed readers to see what is appearing in the pages of the Galaxies Greatest Comic but needs to find its own identity, a reason for coming back to it. Also reviews written by different people may give a more balanced look at this weeks Prog and browsers may find a reviewer with opinions closer to their own.

A site with potential and one that I'll take another look at to see how it progresses and develops.

La Placa Rifa,
W. R. Logan.

Good site, it must have taken a hell of a lot of work to put it togther. Not sure I'd visit as often as I do this site (that'd be everyday then), but if you could manage to get more insider information on 2K then I could be swayed to visiting on a regular basis.

Hi Gavin, to make the link work you should include the whole address i.e with the http:// part.

Looks great though, bit wide as ogan said but good luck with it.

...I'll just add, the synopsis is a nice touch, especially as I can summarise for myself what's happened so far during those longer, crapper stories.

Thanks for the input - I'll try do do something about the width (It seems OK on my monitor, so I'll have to look into it).

I'd be happy for different reviewers - but it's just me doing the site at the moment, so I'm afraid it's stuck with my opinion at the moment.

Hopefully as time goes on, I'll try to have more interviews, features and news - but at the moment it's a matter of digging around information.

Just glad that no-one was appalled by the site!

Very nice. I'll definately go back again. Have you thought of asking for E-mail reviews to broaden opinion?

I'm still new to th'Internet, so thanks for the link to Simon Frasers Nikolai site.

I'll be putting up some counter opinions in the coming weeks - and I'll see how that goes.  But if anyone feels they want to contribute - please send me an email.

Super necro posting on this thread to say that 2000ADReview - the weekly site that now reviews every issue of 2000AD, all spin-off publications as well as carrying feature articles and interviews with most of Tharg's top droids - is now looking for new reviewers...
