I like that a lot, although I have to say the guy with the four eyes makes my head spin a bit! What's it from?

And I think the robot has a little look of your good self.. :D

Uh was that one you did for the art comp? If so I think I remember saying I'd love to see it finished and that right there is why I said it (if I did?).

As ever lovely stuff Supersurfer.

Thanks Colin. Yes, I faffed around and didn't even enter it. As work has pretty much dried up for a (hopefully short) while, I'm trying to do some catching up on the art front, so I'll be uploading a bit more stuff that I never got round to finishing and some new bits and pieces.

It's all right, that's in every contract.
That's what they call a sanity clause.
You can't fool me, there ain't no sanity clause.

Empire Magazine have just ran a competition to design the Blu Ray cover for the limited edition BD steelbook release of Nicolas Winding Refn's Only God Forgives. Here's my entry...

Hawkmumbler

Jesus man. I thought the movie was a bit over ripe but, id snap it up with a cover like that! Very mondo. :D

Thanks man.

I erm, haven't actually seen the film myself. I'm very hot and cold on Refn - loved Drive and Bronson, didn't connect with Valhalla Rising and I heard that OGF is more like the latter so gave it a miss.

The actual final version was with the blood all shaded, rendered and detailed (see the movie poster crop version below) but in the end I preferred the simpler, graphic version. I have a tendency to overdo and overthink stuff - I guess to compensate for a lack of confidence - when in reality my simpler designs tend to be better received.
