Here's an ink drawing I did earlier this year:

I'll put this here too for those who don't read the PARAGON thread

An old-school, no-bullshit, boys-own action/adventure comic reminiscent of the 2000ads and Eagles and Warlords and Battles and other glorious black-and-white comics that were so, so cool in the 70's and 80's - Buy the hardback Christmas Annual!

Did this illustration in honour of Alan Rickman, my favourite actor.

Nice work folks. Here's a teaser for an upcoming comic strip I'm putting together between other art jobs. The Grub. Thanks to the ever awesome Mr Dilworth for the great logo!

It's David Bowie over on the Weekly TAB, so here's my contribution. Dip-pen, brush and drawing inks on A4 aquafine smooth paper.

It's all right, that's in every contract.
That's what they call a sanity clause.
You can't fool me, there ain't no sanity clause.

Hi Hawkmonger, the weekly TAB is the 'Weekly Themed Art Blog'. It is a group on that there Facebook run by our very own CrazyFoxMachine.
It does exactly what it says on the tin, and has a different theme every week for group members to submit old or new art to. I am a member myself but do not get the chance to do half as many entries as I would like.

And buy the way Flip that is a lovely drawing!

Some of you chaps are no doubt fed up of me saying I used to be obsessed with drawing comics in my youth. While others were out socialising, drinking etc it was all about drawing for me. I have sketchbooks from the 70s with mainly superhero drawings for every single day of the year. Then art college came along and that wasn't the done thing. One tutor commented on a Johnny Alpha drawing I did on a portfolio: "when are you going to stop drawing that rubbish?" Joseph Beuys was her thing.

Decades on, most of my art stuff was binned by some ****ing idiot electricians when they rewired my mother's house. But recently I came across some sketchbooks which survived.

Thought I'd scan a page and upload it here. I pasted this into an A3 sketchbook. I drew it (without reference material) I reckon in 1984 would you believe it? Unfinished of course.

Feels a bit odd posting something so old here, but what the heck.
